In the picture there is one small buck. I zoomed in about as far as I could without making it too easy. I also have a short video of him. http://s99.photobucket.com/albums/l302/sco...t=ACHill005.flv

A few thoughts... If you're not a member of the NRA or some other guns rights group I suggest you sign up to strengthen the lobby that will be fighting to protect our rights. Our government moves too slow to really allow BO to accomplish everything that he promised people which means people will tire of his BS soon which will only make it more difficult for him to get anything done. Learn your Senators and Reps e-mails and phone numbers and make sure your voice is heard on all the important issues. And when it comes time to approve a new supreme court justice make sure your voice is heard.

This was my experience. I was amazed at the difference it made. Not quite sure why but it did make a big difference.

Did anyone else see the piece on Fox News that showed Obama voting. After 10 minutes in the booth he came out rather upset. He went over to the Poll Volunteer and complained explaining that the Presidential Ballot wasn't complete. The volunteer asked him in what respect? To which he replied "There's no place on the ballot to vote PRESENT"

Same thing happened to one of my dogs this spring. The only thing my vet did different was he also gave me some antibiotics to protect against infection. He said sometimes the bite site will get infected. A few days later you couldn't tell she was ever bit.

So what happens if......
scoutm replied to bowsniper's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
So if the name of the game is "what happens if..." What do you think O's chances would be if our government worked as our founders intended? Now I'm sure there will be those that know history much better than I do and recall their civics courses much better than I do but it's my understanding that our founders really Founded a "Republic" (a form of democracy) as opposed to a true Democracy (or one equal vote per adult) this of course did not become a generally accepted principle in our democracies until the early 20th century - before that in all democratic republics the right to vote depended on one's financial situation meaning you had to be a contributer to society as apposed to a user. I believe the Republic form of government was favored because, as in an article someone posted many months ago, it was believed that a true democracy can not exist as a permanent form of government due to the fact that as soon as the public learns it can vote itself benefits from the public trust the democracy will fail as a result of fiscal irresponsiblity - sound familar? So, how would O fair if you had to have a job, own property, pay taxes and etc. to vote? -

Personally, I don't want to have to think about it. I will be heading out to setup camp on the 5th. Then a week without having to hear anything about it. Hopefully by the time I return everything will have settled down. -

If he's not a a 2x3 he's got an interesting hook like feature on the end of his right main beam. -

If you don't come out alive can I have your Kimber? Only if you put it to good use. Do you want the WSM also? I'll put the Kimber to good use. You can give the WSM to someone else...don't want to get greedy.

Listen to how UNinformed the average voter is...
scoutm posted a topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
First let me say that I'm not a big fan of Howard but this was too funny / sad not to share. I can't believe how Uninformed the average voter is - to think they are the ones that are going to be voting in our next presidential election is scary. http://www.bpmdeejays.com/upload/hs_sal_in_Harlem_100108.mp3 -
I had a pair of Danner Light Hikers - best boots ever Lasted me 10 years with one resole job. They finally died on me so I got a pair of Danner Radicals - extremely comfortable but they didn't wear well the soles are cheap and the seams are all coming undone - I can't recommend them. I recently purchased a pair of Danner Light II Hikers - Canvas/Leather version of the Light Hikers they're still a little stiff but they are showing some promise. Seems like the better the boot the longer it takes to break them in.

Great write-up and pics. Congrats to the hunter and the hunting party.

Went out to 36C this weekend. Sunday morning was perfect. Cool, Clear and very little wind. I hope we're that fortunate in November. Saturday...now that was a different story - there were wind gusts that almost blew me off my feet. We did manage to find some deer though. Not the one we're looking for but still have a few more days to find him before the hunt. It seemed like every doe that had a fawn with her had two. I've never seen that many twins before. If they're allowed to grow it should be pretty good in a few years.
