    Trading in Tags

No you can't. They did away with being able to obtain two draw hunt tags a number of years ago. I have spoken with GF and they are exploring recreating it so that the leftover tags don't go to waste and GF can get the revenue from them. The bag limit however has always been 1 per year.
  3. Not that you can count on the weather report any more often than 1 in a 100 times but here's to hoping they have the 10 day forecast correct as it would be really nice to hunt October in low 70's weather.
  4. This will be my first year hunting birds behind dogs. I've taken my dogs to AZBownunter22(Simon) for some formal training so I really looking forward to this years hunting.

    boys from boise

OSU lost there top 25 ranking with their loss to TCU. I don't know if in the BCS it matters what rank the team was at the time they played or if its the rank of the teams beat at the end of the year. With only Louisville on the OSU Schedule before the Boise game I doubt OSU will regain their top 25 ranking so that may hurt Boise in the BCS rankings. Not that it matters though because the Beavers are going to take care of business on that blue thing Boise calls a football field. GO BEAVS

    Football Season Starts Tonight!!

Minus that CRAZY Blue turf they are fun to watch but with a strength of schedule ranked at 87th in the country they are going to have a hard time overcoming their conference again.

  16. Saw this on another site and thought it was pretty good. "Start with a cage containing five monkeys. Inside the cage, hang a banana on a string and place a set of stairs under it. Before long, a monkey will go to the stairs and start to climb towards the banana. As soon as he touches the stairs, spray all the other monkeys with cold water. After a while another monkey makes the attempt with same result, all the other monkeys are sprayed with cold water. Pretty soon when another monkey tries to climb the stairs, the other monkeys will try to prevent it. Now, put the cold water away. Remove one monkey from the cage and replace it with a new one. The new monkey sees the banana and wants to climb the stairs. To his shock, all of the other monkeys attack him. After another attempt and attack, he knows that if he tries to climb the stairs he will be assaulted. Next, remove another of the original five monkeys and replace it with a new one. The newcomer goes to the stairs and is attacked. The previous newcomer takes part in the punishment with enthusiasm. Likewise, replace a third original monkey with a new one, then a fourth, then the fifth. Every time the newest monkey takes to the stairs he is attacked. Most of the monkeys that are beating him up have no idea why they were not permitted to climb the stairs or why they are participating in the beating of the newest monkey. After replacing all of the original monkeys, none of the remaining monkeys have ever been sprayed with cold water. Nevertheless, no monkey ever again approaches the stairs to try for the banana. Why not? Because as far as they know, that is the way it has always been done around here. And that, my fellow monkeys, is how Congress operates... We need to REPLACE all the monkeys this November."
  17. Funny that you call me a racist yet race never entered my mind. I don't care what you call our Legislative branch - clowns, idiots, monkeys, pigs, elephants or donkeys - it's full of followers who do things only because their party forces them to do it the way it has always been done without consideration for whats in the best interest of the country or the constituents that put them in office.

I would imagine after good winter rains and a good monsoon so far it should be looking pretty good. I don't think any of the fires were that hot - they just cleaned things up a bit.

    Need Ideas!

I would suggest finding some really good beer mugs and have them etched with something you see fitting. When the younger ones are of age they can use them until then they can just drink root beer out of them.

    Rain gauge info

http://rainlog.org/usprn/html/main/maps.jsp I like this one as you can select an area and do single date or date span. If you click on a specific site it also gives you more detailed info.
  22. Simon - thanks for the suggestion. Looking forward to dog camp. Larry

    36C Tag- unit advice

If you glass hard you will find bucks and illegals everyday. Don't be surprised if you're hiking heavily used trails if BP isn't dispatched to see if you're illegal or not. Don't camp too close to roads otherwise your good night sleep may not be too good due to BP traffic chasing down the illegals. Much of the unit has burned in the past few years - with last winters good rains and what proving to be a decent monsoon scout out the burn areas - there should be some good feed in those areas.
