I had the timing get off on a 1860 army, it exploded in my hands. That shoot will shake you up a bit.

Awesome job! Persistence pays off!

There are actually several operations around the state that have them now. But these llamas are my friends, and they got them from all over the west. My llamas aren't old enough to pack yet, next season. Actually, I just looked you up, that white one was purchased from you.

I just added that to my wish list....

3006 over 243, as long as he shoots it well.

No, he came back after taking the meat to my walk in cooler. So he was there to help pack out mine. It worked out pretty well.

Just got home, I'll post a thread later, just give it time.

I did some scouting for the youth elk hunt, drove the the control road and went through the crossings. I was blown away by how many folks were there, and all their super fancy cars. -
You guys are making me depressed with so called monsters...

We butcher more than 6 pigs a year and do all our own bacon. I can't go back to store bought.

Wednesday 1300. At a Hunter Ed course last year they told us the draw was run by an organization called Sportsman's something or other. Who knows?! -
Same, I lost my crane tag. 🤷♂️ What a roller coaster. I'd rather go back to calling the old phone number.

Thanks for the info. Seems rather odd, that you can do all other things on public land except touch antlers. I think CPW is definitely the strictest wildlife agency I've ever dealt with.
-
Kind of a curious question. CPW was very thorough the few times I ran into them, kind of annoying actually. But I was glad I had all my ducks in a row.

If you don't want to dismount current scope, night vision mounted on your rail at the end of your optic will probably work best. I dought you will have room in front of your scope. But if you're willing to mount a thermal in place of your scope, that would be my go to.

My kids love watching this guy do stupid s***. Fortunately they know he's dumb.
-
They're all I see here in the SE part of the state.
-
Strolled by thus guy last week. Very fat.

One thing I will say is plan for all weather. I've picked up several people that have been blown off the trail by bad weather.

Someday for me. I hike the section near us a lot. Its interesting the people you meet on the AZT.

The officers did a great job here. Most wackos that show up to do these things don't dress like an average teacher. So spotting them is usually easy. Resource officers usually wear a bright vest or something so they are easy to identify. The staff in this school did a great job locking down, accounting for students and having a staffer waiting for help to give a situational report to arriving officers and a quick lay out of the building. Not everyone can or should be a hero with a gun. The training teachers are getting is great. But like said above, a veteran or 2 at every school would make a huge difference.

I'm hunting buddy has one of these and it's great!

My grandfather told me he shot an antelope with an old sportized Mauser out past 400. He said it was his favorite hunting rifle. He actually said he had quite a few after ww2. Sold them all and regretted it.

I misspoke. Its actually the 760. A lot of history with that rifle. It's been sporting the k4 weaver longer than I know.
