    Dear Arizona Game & Fish,

I am all for primitive muzzy. I compare it to bows and crossbows. Watching people shoot 500 yards with a muzzy is cool, but that's further than most rifle shooters shoot.

    Dear Arizona Game & Fish,

The squared bonus point idea is what keeps me from applying in Montana, I feel too far out of the game. As to Bob's comments, thanks for what you've done for conservation, but most of those who put in the time and money for conservation aren't just doing it for themselves but for the next generation. Let the kids hunt, some of my fondest memories are hunting as a kid with my grandfather and dad. I do think that if a youth gets a tag transfer then that burns their points. But I still dont think its that big of a deal. Simplify the application website, lions 365, and point guard once a lifetime per species. Overall the AZ system isn't that bad.

    Backpacking Sleeping Pad

So I'm in the market for a good sleeping pad. Lightweight, with an R rating around 4. What are you guys using?

    Backpacking Sleeping Pad

I was on the edge for that one, but I read some reviews discussing poor longevity. Which is why I went with Sea to Summit.

    Backpacking Sleeping Pad

So I went with the Sea to Summit Ultralite insulated pad. Tested it out last night. Not too bad, a little louder than I liked, but I assume the noise goes away with time. Took me a bit to settle into it, I found I definitely like it slightly under inflated. Overall, it worked well and doesn't seem too flimsy.

    Backpacking Sleeping Pad

I'm really liking the sea to summit ultra light. A little lower on R rating than I wanted. But everything else looks good.

    Smoke up some meats

There really is no one secret. I'm not an expert by any means, but I do know that the big time competitors do the towel in the ice chest trick. I personally can't wait that long. So I just let it sit on counter for 20ish minutes (sometimes less) and then begin to slice and enjoy. The sky is the limit Woody.

    Yes, that is one method.

    Smoke up some meats

Mustard, brown sugar and Butt Rub from Costco is always good on pork. Then on my briskets I'll do honey and brown sugar, and more Butt Rub. It's great. Kosher salt is the only way to go when salting your meats. If you really want some tastes, inject brisket with Coke or Dr. Pepper.

Or just fill up the nipple with powder and let it rip.....lol. Air compressor would be a safer bet though.

Kodiak Flex Bow tent and Mr buddy heater question.

I have the kodiak 10x10. Running carpet inside is the best camping idea I've ever had, a complete game changer. When I'm by myself I run the little buddy before bed and again when I'm waking up. If my wife and little ones are with, I run the heater all night. I have also discovered it stays warmer longer when you vent the bottom of the tent as opposed to the top.
