    Windshield Repair

I've got a couple vehicles that have cracked windshields needing repair. Typically do my own mechanical work so I haven't had to deal with a shop for a while other than maybe buying tires. Any reputable places you'd recommend (I'm in the West Valley if that matters)? What is a general expense - both standard sized cars? I've seen signs along the road about getting cash or gift cards back when you use XYZ shop to repair your windshield if you use insurance- what the heck is that about? I've got comprehensive insurance, but the deductible is $500. I can't imagine it costing over $500 bucks... so what am I missing? Anyways, any input on navigating this topic would sure be appreciated!

    Shotgun work

I've got an old 12ga sxs shotgun I'd like to extend the 2.5" chambers to 2.75", maybe open up the chokes too. Any recommendations or for someone in the valley who messes with shotguns? Haven't had much luck searching myself. Thx

    Shotgun work

There is a guy in the Barnone place out in SE Gilbert. But doesn't seem like he's very versed with shotguns either.

An Open Dialog on G & F Laws

So what was the final outcome? You said you elected to do a diversion program of sorts vs take the issue to court, correct? After said program, what is on your record? How does the affect your right to own/possess a firearm and hunting privileges in AZ and nationwide? As most have said I probably would've gone in front of a judge and plead my case as we would all like to imagine that no reasonable judge would charge an upstanding person with a felony equivalent to someone who has committed violent crimes. But, I'm sure that's a tough risk to consider depending on the dynamics of your personal/home situation. I'm unsure if our self reporting laws need changed as I have no experience with them or any other state's. Can you speak a little more to what they are in AZ (sounds like non-existent) vs what they look like in other states where the possible punishment becomes far less significant?
  9. I sent the posting to AZGFD as well. While I can't find anything that says its outright illegal, this section of the regs addresses the topic: R12-4-305. Possessing, Transporting, Importing, Exporting, and Selling Carcasses or Parts of Wildlife
  10. As far as I know the only game you can sell in AZ is buffalo. And that has to be to a grocery. https://phoenix.craigslist.org/cph/for/d/elk-meat/6419083596.html

    Trophy documentary

The interview you linked to was a good watch. Great example of how if some of the folks who are so opposed to hunting do some homework, they will understand it's more than just senseless killing.

    Trophy documentary

That "film" did absolutely no favors for hunters, unfortunately. The PH (and his safari company) who guides the TX hunter on the elephant is a great guy, although that scene was a really tough watch. If anyone cares for their info, message me. In addition to the almost non-existent free range hunts they are licensed to offer on the Caprivi strip, they have a couple huge concessions outside Windhoek. Part I enjoyed most was the croc "hunt" in the dirt tank in the middle of nowhere, with the croc they relocated from a farm. After he had shot it once, it came up on the other end of the pond and they were dumb enough to ask if it was his. Well duh, do you think there is more than one in there?!?

    Vacuum sealers

Foodsaver has worked well for me for years. As mentioned the seal strip element will overheat sometimes and you just have to wait a few extra seconds. The bags do seem to be brittle though as mentioned in mulepackhunter's thread in cooking wild foods forum. They tend to get little punctures/cracks that break the seal and results in some frost/freezer burn.

Female with horns Sonora México 2018

i dont think they ever shed? I don't believe they would shed either, at least not typically, since they shouldn't have the swings in testosterone like a normal buck. For the same reason, they will perpetually be in velvet and have a slow antler growth rate.

Woman shot at popular shooting area in Buckeye

Its funny after I moved to the west side, I checked land ownership maps and that area seemed the closest to get to that might allow shooting. Went there and was surprised to see all the trash from shooters and was disappointed that I wasn't discovering something new (or at least less well known). I've shot there a couple of times, but take stands and cardboard and always take it back out with me along with as many of my casings as I can find. Agreed I've only gone first light and during the week so haven't seen but a handful of folks out there.

    Zip Off Base Layer Bottoms

Only one I know of is Kujuju. Anyone know of other brands that have these? The handiness of being able to drop your outer layer pants to your ankles and zip off your base layer when things warm up (without having to remove boots) is a huge benefit. Maybe they've got a patent on the design or something because I can't for the life of me figure out why no other brand/company is offering the same feature on their base layers. Thanks

    Zip Off Base Layer Bottoms

Some people hunt in places other than Arizona in October, plus they aren't arctic thickness base layers. You don't get the concept, but thanks anyways for your puffy input. It was a specific question, and my suspicions were confirmed with no one having heard of or seen another zip-off option. Guess I'll have to join the downhill ski club and pony up for the kuius. Flattening out my bill now.
