The Yellowstone River itself might be worth hiring a guide to fish with. If you hit it during a stonefly hatch, it can be a spectacle. Lots of little creeks/streams to catch brook trout in that will hit almost any fly, dry or otherwise you throw at them. Also get up early on a calm morning and go walk the banks around the lake. Sometimes you'll find the big cutties working the shallows slurping bugs off the top. Lay down a similar pattern dry where they're going to be, not where they are- because you'll never lay it down gently enough not to scare them. You can catch some really good fish with a little luck doing this.

Just assuming that ranchers are still going to kill them for impacting their stock, and that guys carrying a rifle during summer scouting trips when the season is closed will still take a crack at a cat if they can, in the name of saving some deer.

Depends on the plant whether annual or biannual. No matter what the rain is a good thing. Hopefully more to come in just a couple weeks. Biannual means twice a year I have not heard the term biannual are you referring to biennial? Ooooohhh... so you mean bicentennial?

I foresee more kitties getting shot and left lay to rot in the summer heat instead of guys getting to take them home and get them taxi'd.
