This ^^ I had a friend walk out with a 2018 tag on December 31, at 11:30pm thinking it was a tag for 2019. Luckily the manager was there and we were able to get the right one. The clerk basically said it was my friends fault for not checking.

Did the lack of rain early in the year contribute to how weak the backs are on elk this year? Seems like pretty much everyone throughout the state is seeing bulls with solid fronts and weak back ends. I guess I figured the whole rack would suffer with lack of rain, not just the back half.

Even as big as that bull is, it still looks like the fronts dwarf the back points. Those fronts are huge.

They are good guys. The first time I ever went in there I got to talking with Nate and figured he thought he knew me or I was someone else. He had no idea who I was and asked me my name at the end. Just a good guy talking about archery and hunting.

I've got a set of 7's in 8x42 and I love them. From everything i looked through in and around that price point, to even a little above it, nothing else came close.

Walmart told me they couldn’t sell me a 2018 OTC deer tag until 2018 also, luckily a manager was there and said give him the tag. They had been telling people they couldn’t find the tags so people wouldn’t get mad when they said they couldn’t sell it to them.
