Just curious as to what you guys would recommend for cleaning the lens of your binos? I am used to using my shirt for my eyeglasses and I don't want to get into that bad habit for my binos. Nate

buddy of mine has the allegiance, great bow, I have seen 2 sets of cracked limbs on his but he pulls a lot of weight

I'm curious to see how many people spend time out in 7 east and what you think as far as the elk hunting in that unit? Not looking for your spots or anything, but just curious of your opinions. I've spent a lot of time out there the past few years and I'd like to see what others think about that unit. Nate

There's a reason that the minimum draw weight is 40lbs. Everyone here has pretty much hit it on the dot, if she's at 40lbs she's fine if she's not shooting further than 35 yards. Another good point that was made was the 2 blade broadheads, Magnus are very good blades. As long as she has good shot placement at the right distance then she should have little to worry about. Good luck to you and your daughter on that hunt, should be a great time.

I had a cow tag in '05 and a bull tag in '06, both archery, I don't have a tag this year and I don't think I'll be putting in for that unit again. I was/am just curious who has hunted it and what their opinions are.

Yeah I agree with what you are saying Jim, they do cross a lot during that time of the year. DesertBull-haha I know exactly where you are talking about

Sorry for posting in here but it gets the most hits. Anywho, I need some advice on leveling kits and lift kits, pros and cons for both? Any info is appreciated, thanks guys!

Nice pics....wish I could get out of the city and go glass on my lunch break....sheesh! lol...how long were you out and how long did it take you to find them?
-
Get what you feel comfortable with, everyone has their own likes and dislikes. There are plenty of sights out there to accomodate every need, just make sure you are comfortable and confident shooting at longer distances. I'm not a fan of guys shooting 80-100 yards with their bows, that to me takes a bit away from bow hunting. If you want to shoot that far shoot a rifle, I have the utmost respect for guys that shoot traditional bows.

Just curious if anyone has ever or is currently shooting the Shuttle T Locks, and how they like them?
-
Keep at 'em Christian, did you have a chance to talk to the guy that yelled out "PIGS"! ?
-
She was using the shuttle t-lock 100's, shot a less than 30 times too. I was just suprised to see a head damaged after being shot into that target. On one of the blades about mid-way there now is a chip in the shape of a "V", there was also a huge difference in the flight from her field points as well.....oh well that's how it goes though, I'm sure she'll find one she likes
-
my better half used them for her pig hunt this year...killed the pig but prior to the hunt they became damaged just by shooting the yellow jacket broadhead target, i was not impressed with their sharpness either....we were going to get her some wac'ems but they were out....i'm a slick trick guy myself and don't see myself changing anytime soon

Appreciate the feedback

Well it was my last day to hunt at least. First off I want to thank Rob (Basser15) for all of his/your help this weekend. It was a great time and I wish you could have been there to share it, at least the deer camp comedians kept us alive! Thanks again to Ladd, Steve, and Gary for coming out and helping with my hunt, great guys. Day 1: Got to camp at 11:00am, set up and headed to the hills. Nothing until the end of the day when I saw two mule deer does making their way to water. Day 2: Rob and I headed to the same area hoping to find some deer on their way to bed, but ended up glassing and walking without seeing any bucks. Saw two nice water tanks that held some nice bear tracks though. Day 3: Rob had to head back to Phx to catch the football game so I had a group of buddies from school help me out since one of them had tagged out in the same area a week prior. Made our 2 mile hike in the dark to our glassing spot and just as we had enough light to glass Gary spotted 2 bucks about 800 yards away. Gary stayed behind as we made our way to within 330 yards of the bucks. Took us awhile to find them again but when we did I set up and got ready to shoot. Put the crosshairs on him and let it fly. I ended up hitting him in the spine but he dropped right away and began to fall down the hill. After some high fives and a short but steep walk we found my buck underneath the tree. This is my first coues deer hopefully not my last. Enjoy! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v214/Ndaniel/IMG_1245.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v214/Ndaniel/IMG_1247.jpg
