Cooled off in payson today. Was 27 degrees when I did plant check this morning. Verified zero this morning and will check drops this week and next weekend. Good time to go through your pack and get rid of all the shoot you dont need. Elk quarters are heavy!!

If you have lots of cash and want a lower profile bumper I would get a mercenary. Ridiculously cool Fusion also makes a sweet bumper that follows body lines well. Lots of customization with fusion

Well done, I would start caping him where the bullet blew threw and get that dude to a taxidermist. Congrats!!

I killed 2 birds and went with hawkins rings with level built in to top half of ring. Unless your running a 1 tube you might check them out. I got one set from longrangeonly.com and another set from redhawkrifles.com

Ladder test, seating depth test, ocw test. Do a google search and you will get all the info you could ever want about bergers. Good luck!! -

What are the best aftermarket barrel options?
cjl2010 replied to Presmyk's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
When I first started shooting Silhouette, there was a guy that was shooting that was doing the drilling for Schneider, Gary would pay him in cast off barrels, just about everybody on the line was shooting a Schneider barrel, not so popular anymore. Don't know about now but back then Tubb was shooting a Schneider barrel, I was told that he ordered them ten at a time, and this was before he was making and marketing his own guns, so he was ordering them for personal use. Ive got 2 Schneider barrels and have been around a bunch. Only heard of one that wouldnt shoot. Seems guys these days are hung up on cut barrels so that is what you will see recommended the most -

Ive been messing around with different 6.5 Bullets in my creedmoor and noticed on the sierras, 142smk, all the tips looked clogged. Almost like the lead is all the way to the meplat. Is this normal for SMK? I mostly use bergers and all my meplats are clear on them. For hunting, should I try to clear the tips? Thanks
-
Tough picture to take. Only reason I bring it up is I hear of bergers not expanding because of a clogged meplat and I wasnt sure if this is the case with match Kings as well. Besides the fact you shouldnt use match Bullets for hunting 😝 Top to bottom 142 smk 140 vld 130 ar hybrid

Elevation is easily corrected with a few more click, windage is where the 100fps really plays a role.
