Another down side to sitting water is all the hunters with the next hunt walking or driving into to scout and check water, all while interrupting your sit.

Hey Lee, how did your boy do? We had a rough and slow day On 9-20-20. The whole week prior was pretty slow on the reports as well. We brought back 17 fish total and 11 were Dorado. We had 1 skipjack tuna also, which I will post also. I was lucky enough to get 1 decent Dorado On our very last stop. Alot of people told me that the color leaves the dodo's fast, which I believed you guys. But man were talking by time you take 2 pictures turn phone sideways and two more. Color was almost completely gone. I'll post the first and the last picture for those that would like to see the difference. Have that camera ready if you want the Yellow still, we walked 5 feet and I took my phone out of my pocket and that's all the yellow that was left ..... over all we had a good time even though the bite was slow. There's the skipjack tuna next to my dodo. Thanks again for all questions answered by some of you on this thread that I was probably bothering more and more as my trip neared. I did learn alot from you guys and on the trip itself, again I'm thankful for your guys help... it was much appreciated.

I have had both of my kids shooting off the bog pod tripod. Another good tip depending on distance and one thing we practiced while shooting is... i have them find their target on a lower power and hold on it. Then I increase the power and zoom in for them. After our second or third trip out my daughter started doing it on her own. This gives them a bigger field of view at first to find the animal. And if they lose the animal in the scope like my boy did on his first hunt when he was 10, i backed it out he relocated the deer and then he told me ok zoom back in while he held on it again and it works decent. He did make a successful 300 yard shot that day form the bog pod. But that's how we practiced and got very familiar with it. They also practiced alot prone , which is how my boy shot his second deer the next following year. Hope this helps. What hunts did he get?

Hey welcome back, very nice bow. Any luck with the bears?? And GLWS.....

The more stocks you get under your belt the more you will learn about how to stock them. Mind the wind and cover and start learning. Also sitting water at first can be productive, but won't teach you how to do spot and stock. You will hopefully get some interactions will animals and learn some behaviors though. Take your pick....
