I think a Full front windshield and full rear window helps a ton on the general 4 seater. I would get a front windshield that has a vent that you can shut and open for different weather conditions. And the generals all come with full half doors with seals and thatbjelps out as well. The real question is how to keep the dust off all your gear in the bed.....

As Lance said, I would use a bigger bullet than a 55 gr if I had to use it for deer. But I would probably use one of the bigger rifles. If you are really worried about recoil you could put a break on one of the bigger guns. Food for thought...

Maybe rent a 4x4 truck if it is in your budget and get chains for it. I had to rent a truck for a hunt one time , when both mine and my brothers trucks were both down at the same time when we were younger.
