Bottom line is that it's Archery! Lots of us on here have archery hunted for many years and made good shots, but if anyone says they have never made a bad shot on an animal with an arrow that is a seasoned archer would be lying including myself. It just plain happens when you bowhunt! No one wants it to happen but if you are shooting at animals at distances you do not practice at you should not shoot period. Just my 2 cents.

I say help him. Call azgfd and explain to them the situation. They should be perfectly ok with it. If not they may offer help for him.

Sad to see. This happens a lot. Hopefully he breaks it off an it heals. Unfortunately they have tape sights for your bow which makes people think they can now shoot accurately at 90 to 120 yrs plus and they find out they can't.

Anyone had shells stick? I called remington and they sent me a barrel. Didn't fix it. Now it won't cycle. Sending the gun back. It's a year old. Bought it for my son. Was an 870 guy. I'll never buy another new one. My old one from the 80's is flawless

I agree with that. People will see those 7w early archery dates and more will apply for it. I thought I had 9 points but my portal says 8. Now my odds change. I'm going to do 5bsouth and 7west early archery. Don't know what is going to be my 1st choice yet.

Saw lots of deer this year and last year on youth hunts. Oh and lots of pigs as well. 20c is still a very good unit

Passed on bulls until Monday and my son finally shot a spike! Today we found a 300 class 6x6 and killed him. Both the boys first elk. We had a blast saw around 60 head a day!

I mean Delw, If you ever shoot an elk you can bring the meat to my house!
