+1. I just came from up there and it was busy.

I'll be up there next week and that lake drives me crazy with the weeds. Impossible and not fun to fish. I wish they would dredge it just once and get it clear for a little while.

Trout, catfish, smallmouth, largemouth , pike, crappie, walleye , bluegill. Brian That's it? hmmm. I was hoping for more. Lake sharks would be great. Oh they got!!!! My buddy got this guy last week!! haha. Missed this before. nicely done.

This is Rainbow Lake, by the way. Small mouth has been good, and catfish on grasshopper. Weeds are not too bad.

How'd it go? I have a spot on the Black River that is great- but it's all small mouth bass. PM if interested.

hey I got that happened to me recently: They get drawn and I don't. THAT drives me nuts!

another idea: what about near oracle? you can do the peppersauce caves, and the weather is still nice around there. Won't have too much competition for spots...

This was super simple, and I loved it for dinner tonite. I stuffed the quail cavity with a jalapeno sausage, and salt, pepper and bacon on the outside. Grilled for 8-10 minutes. I threw a elk tenderloin on the grill for good measure. I don't know why, but I always seem to use jalapenos when cooking quail.

Eight Legged Freaks.

I am taking my 5 and 7 year old out tomorrow for their first real hunt. Hoping to scare up a quail or rabbit (emphasis on rabbit). My two locations are: 1. Mesquite Wash on the way Payson 2. King's Ranch Road, at the eastern edge Open to other ideas, but looking for rabbits for them to get the idea of shooting at a actual game they can eat. Rabbits early in the AM seem like a good idea. I'd love to know if 1 or 2 are worth going to this year, or perhaps another spot? I am starting out from the 60 and Mesa Dr. Thanks Guys.
