Shooting berger 195s and 70g of retumbo kicked butt at 3010fps but big pressure signs and it grouped amazing .35moa but toned it down to 68.4g with slight pressure signs and 2850fps and still does pretty good .5moa at 100

I know there has been discussions on here before about these but I cant find them I bought a hells canyon long range 6 months ago with the 1:8 twist and noticed the heavier bullet I shoot the tighter groups I get with factory rounds which seems right with the 1:8 twist. I found a guy in Texas that sells the 195 rounds but I would rather load my own to see what powder/and how many grains my rifle likes. The bullets should be here today and hopefully they wont be too long because I do not want to do any mods to my rifle to shoot them. My question is has anyone had good previous experiences with these or found a legitimate load data for them by berger? Has anyone had them be too long for their stock rifles?

Man I was able to get out and do some ladder test with these 195s finally and they shoot amazing h1000 and retumbo performed very well I'm getting better groups with h1000 but retumbo isnt far off and getting 3012fps with 70g of retumbo with no pressure signs. Would you recommend going higher? My coal is 3.490 and cbto is 2.745.

Browning X-Bolt heck's Canyon Vs Christensen Arms Mesa
roadbomber1 replied to DialITin's topic in Long Range Shooting
I have a savage 270 and you can't argue about the accuracy of the savage and it's pretty light as well no complaints. I bought the hells canyon long range in 7mm and wow it amazing, It is prettier but also just better quality all around. Comes bedded adj trigger muzzle break weight is right around 6.8 if I remember correctly and it shoots awsome at long range I've only reached out to 700 and was shooting sub moa with factory ammo now I'm reloading and getting amazing results with it. I know lots of guys with the 6.5 hells canyon and they all would highly recommend it as well -
Great tent I have the same one and it's been through every kind of storm and stil holding up great good luck with sell but you might regret letting it go.
