I was thinking of getting a bear tag up there. But with this new rule I refuse to now. I have hunted San Carlos since I was 9 years old. Its a great place just overpriced for the average man

I missed a monster COUES this past weekend in the Tucson area. He was by himself, still swollen and came on a string to my grunt call.

Today I missed a huge coues buck. Spotted him,grunted a couple times he came about 500 yards. Had my 9 year old boy with. This buck snuck in on us to a mere 10 yards. I had to turn 90 degrees to my left while pulling my bow. He busted me took off stopped I ranged him 55 yards. Settled my pin in at let it fly. He jumped the string and ducked my arrow. I watched a 105" plus COUES bound off unharmed.

How is the rutting action in 33 and 37b. Headed out today with my boy.

If you really want to get into ducks tank hopping spend the 30 dollars a day or 50 for three days and hunt San Carlos rez. Up on the flats northeast of San Carlos. Its awesome right now. Ducks everywhere, and the geese are up there too.
