looks to be Merriam's the big question is where was this bird taken in New Mexico?

hahaha. you don't have to be "rich" or a "basterd" to do that just takes strategic planning some years if your lucky you can get 5-6 birds in as many days or even less especially in the eastern states.

I read somewhere those rios are hybrids, they have some merriams in them. Interesting to see how the hunt went IA Born is well read on this subject and seems to believe they are hybrids which if the case is disappointing.
