Great deer, great hunt!

Great looking bow from one of the newer companies out there. I think the same guy who designed them also did/does the bows for Xpedition.

Great explanation! Thoughts or preferences? I've seen the AO style scopes then side focus... Just shooter preference? I see now that Kahles is putting it on top under the elevation???

I had a Kobalt Tool Bench already--- they are stainless steel, three drawers plus a big shelf under and a small one on top plus a a light, power strip and plenty of room to bolt on your press, etc.

Which quarter zip top is that? Llano or Chama?

I'll second WhtMtnHunter-- For just starting out it has some great info available. There is also good historical data in the older magazines which they make available online. They publish a small handbook once a year that breaks down the application process for each state and each animal and any changes that have been made. The monthly magazine then refines that detail with unit info and specific considerations for the upcoming season.
One of the best features was after you draw!! You submit the animal/unit you drew and they send a list of names and numbers of people who have had that tag in the past. They are INCREDIBLY HELPFUL.
Not that getting on a forum is bad, BUT, I can tell you that not every forum has members that are as helpful as CWT!!

Azkiller-- no one is trying to screw anyone on here. Matter of fact today is the first bad experience on this site since joining. Point remains; your considerations would have been more well received on a PM. But someone on the internet somewhere is thanking you for saving them.
A vx3i without side focus or AO will not be a "better scope" except maybe a few percent in light transmission. Keep in mind everyone has to keep their marketing game up.

Gents--- First off, they make a thing called private message for a reason so yeah, you are being a dick. Secondly-- You are both wrong in terms of the scopes you've referenced and the price. Not apples to apples at all.
My scope VX3 4.5-14x40 Adjustable Objective CDS Scope. This scope retails at cameraland, euro optics and optics planet for $650 new. My price is fair as the scope was on a 25/06 for all of 20 shots.
LJS--- Buds is selling non-AO scopes with no parallax adjustment for $549
AZK-- Ebay doesn't have them either-- they are selling some VX3i- with same magnification but again non-AO and some are non-CDS as well.
But yea- thanks for looking out.

Awesome, congrats!

Have a primos double bull and it has been great so far. Depending on your price range take a look at Roger's Sporting Goods. They are mainly duck hunting gear but sell lots of ground blinds including the 'generic' double bulls and others!!
