I saw a bunch in grapevine canyon years ago

That's an awesome area and the first time I was ever big game hunting was archery near south butte-Donnelly wash at the bottom of the map. This was back when archery javelina was over the counter and we used to see a lot of big deer but never hunted them. My wife and I went on a ranger ride down to Cochran last spring and saw this critter. Lots of memories from that area. Thanks for sharing.

602 276-6563. This guy is out in laveen but delivers. I don't know about oak but he has a lot of eucalyptus which I have been buying and burning in my tent stove and fire ring. It doesn't smell, burns long and clean. He will cut the sizes you need.

We hunted a few more days and he ended up with a nice 4pt about 26 inches wide. We saw plenty of deer. It's a fun hunt but I'm kind of wishing I wasn't sitting on 11 points waiting for it. I could have likely hunted the early hunt two maybe three times by now. -
No law yet but California banned them. Maybe try your manufacturer and they can point you in the right direction. I was in the market recently and went with a 5 seat crew for this reason.

I was helping a friend and came home yesterday. He's still up there. After five and a half days looking, I was somewhat disappointed with the age class of bucks. Out of probably 25 bucks we looked at I would say one was a big one in the 180 range but there was no shot opportunity and the other was a 160 4pt. All the others were dinks. We met some nice people and saw one toad hit the dirt in the area we were in. We hunted high and mid elevation. No luck on your pack. -

Great shooting!

David I was up there on the east side three years ago helping a friend and conditions were similar but maybe a little warmer. We spent 80% of our time down low and saw very few deer and the one he shot was low. It was the biggest buck we saw on the hunt and scored around 172. I'm heading back up to the east side this year with the same friend (lucky) and we will see how it goes. It seems to be a bit cooler earlier this year. I don't know enough about the unit to tell you where they will be right now. Good luck.

Incredible. Congratulations!

That stinks sorry this happened. No matter what being a crime victim sucks and insurance never can make it right. Victims always lose.. I got my truck back totaled per the insurance company. They paid me out but I still need to arrange repairs, take time off and have an inspection on the truck because now it's salvage..are you buying it back or letting insurance have it?

I think those with early tags are going to have a great season with the cool weather. Good luck!

Are you needing any 38/357 or 45acp?

That's a great buck. Congrats to your son.

It's unfortunate to miss a hunt that you have been planning for and it definitely impacts not only you but family members that were committed to the hunt as well. That base houses our army combat engineers so needless to say some pretty important work goes on there and I wouldn't be in a position to understand why a base commander would close a hunt but crooked intentions would be a stretch. I just found out an hour ago that my boy won't be able to hunt with me the second hunt in 36B due to military commitment so that inconvenience hits the service men and women more frequently than it ever does to us. They learn early on that personal plans always change. Hope things work out.

My truck was stolen from my driveway today in Phoenix. Keep an eye out. 2000 Ford F-250 crew, 7.3, pwd 6 speed, chrome truck box, gooseneck. All stock no mods. I'll try to post a pic.

I was surprised this afternoon to get a phone call from the police that my truck was recovered not far from home. Punched ignition, couple minor dings to the paint, missing stereo, lanterns, camp stove, tow chain, bone saw, mechanics tools, but otherwise in good condition.

No but I'm scared every time I head out on an October hunt. 33 seems to be the worst. Rattlers everywhere but the big spiders between mesquites freak me out more. At least a rattler might give a warning.

I agree, doubtful it's coming back.

Sorry it's turned. No call last night.
