Drew that hunt 20 years ago, never stepped foot in the unit, camped at the bottom and climbed to the top of KA Hill opening morning. I shot a cow at 20 yards. Some old timer walked up laughing at me because I had a pager on my hip( I used it for time I hate watches). Bulls screaming everywhere.

Looks to me like a bale on his back and black jug of water in his right hand

I've had the late 6A hunt twice and struck out both times. The first time I didn't see any bucks and the second I missed the thickest antlered 2 by 3 I've ever seen. A local in camp verde supposedly killed it the next week and by the time he got to it a lion was on it. Dunno if he killed that too it's been about 15 years. Both times the deer were hard to find and I haven't applied for that hunt since.

Anyone offer any info on where to purchase some decent outdoor deck rail? I have a 10'-25' outdoor Trex deck that I need to buy some posts/rail for. This deck is in an area of heavy winter snow I would like to get away from a Home Depot purchase due to price and if anyone has experience with other vendors I would love to hear about it. Thx.

Yep that's a good one

I have a 14-17 Montana Canvas wall tent with an aluminum internal frame that I'm thinking of selling for something easier to set up. Most of the time I'm setting up solo. Are the Alaknak's easier for one person to set up? Thanks.

I ended up buying the 12-12 Alaknak at Cabelas. It came with two oversized outfitter cots valued at 129 each. Total price was 899. I came real close to buying the 10-14 Kodiak canvas which looks like an awesome tent but I really wanted to have something with a stove jack. Thanks to all who offered their insight. Now I just need to draw a hunt someday.

Montana Canvas tent, 5' walls, rope, stakes, carry bag for frame and tent. No windows or rear door. Good condition, no tears, two dime size burn holes on stove flap. No stove included. Tent and frame purchased at Cabelas in 2012 for $2000. Selling due to bum shoulder and looking to downgrade. Asking $1000

Thanks to all for the information. I think I'll sell the wall tent, keep the stove and buy an alaknak.

I had a 2000 7.3 standard that they attempted to steal in that parking lot many years ago. Fortunately they missed a Glock under the back seat. Unfortunately the truck was stolen from my driveway almost two years ago.
