Round count doesn’t matter much on 21s they will run forever. I have over 5K through mine with zero issues. Clean it, don’t clean it, oil or don’t oil it’s going to keep going.

What year is the bow?

Game and fish is going to mail him a map and list of ranchers selling access. That’s not an easy tag to draw and I suggest paying a trespass fee but either way he will have a great time. Really are no honey holes in 19A and you’ll know what you’re getting into with a half day trip just driving around

Traded a Yamaha YZ80 in 1980 for a JC Higgins model 50 Mauser in 270. I never hunted before and definitely wasn’t very good at it for at least another decade. I sold it for peanuts in the early 90s when we started a family.

Dos Plumas near Sweetwater Texas is great. I just did a 3 day hunt there and killed three hogs. You can hunt bow or rifle. I highly recommend them.

South Butte area east of Florence on the south side of the river is really nice in the spring. Access off the Florence-Kelvin Highway and drive north to the river.
