It’s not a perfect system but it’s pretty darn good, at least you know that if there is a hunt you really want just keep applying and wait until you get in the bonus round. I held out of lot of hunts for years waiting on a late 12AW tag. In between I helped others, hunted leftovers, hunted in Colorado, and archery hunted. . I finally drew 12AW last year with 16, had a blast and killed a decent buck. This year by sheer luck I drew a late December whitetail tag in 36 B or A. I’m good with the current system, not because I drew 2 years in a row (I went many without) but because there is always a chance and if I really want a particular I’ll just wait. The wait is usually worth it. Game and Fish doesn’t owe anyone a tag, just a chance at one

I looked for #11s for a long time then just switched to a Mag Spark ignition system suggested by Edge so I can now use 209 primers.

Is the Berger box full?

I need to remove a front dovetail sight on an older Thompson Cemter Renegade. I’ve tried tapping it out with a brass punch and it won’t budge. Need a professional. Any Phoenix area recommendations? Thanks in advance.

I kept mine in the garage for about 5 years but back in the house now that my son moved out. The only issues were some of the butt pads sticking to the thin cheap carpet in the bottom of the safe due to heat. No damage to them though.

I bought some broad heads from him 3 or 4 years ago out at an alfalfa farm in Buckeye. He was out shooting foam with some other guys. He was proud of the farm but sure didn’t seem like a farmer to me. I told him my cousins farmed a few miles west and he talked like he knew them but doubtful. They don’t have time to do anything other than work. I can’t remember what they were other than they were fixed blades. I’ll figure out what they were and get them to you if they belonged to you or your dad.

Find any tank in the northern half that holds water and has any sign at all. Build a blind or bring one, practice drawing in every imaginable position there is and sit the tank as much as possible. Predawn until 10 and evenings 4 til dark. You will get a chance.

Drawing archery tags is tough anymore. I’ve drawn 19A twice in the late 90s and early 2000 with about 5 points. I think those hunts take 20 now.
