I was thinking about camping at Alamo, but I've never been there without a boat. Is it worth going and bank fishing?

Any recommendations for a tripod? I'm currently looking at the Vortex high country, Slik sprint pro, and manfrotto compact tripod.

8x are nice and lightweight for archery. I recently used 8x32 vortex diamondbacks on an archery hunt. The weight was nice, but I also was not glassing great distances. 10x42 seems to be more versatile whether you're using them on a tripod or around your neck.

Thank you, I appreciate the good review

Women's realtree soft shell pants, size medium. Women's mossy oak moisture wicking long sleeve shirt, size small. Neither have ever been worn. There is nothing wrong with the shirt or pants, I just got the wrong sizes for myself. $40 for both shipped.

New, without tags. Size small. Windproof, water resistant. $30 shipped.

Glad you had a good experience with Seaforth. I did the 1/2 day trip with Seaforth. There were way too many people and no fish. The only people catching were the captain's buddies. I caught 2 rockfish. Not worth the money. Seems like a full day trip is the way to go.

I'm looking at the Ruger American chambered in .308. Most reviews I've read are favorable. Does anyone have any experience with this rifle? I'm just curious to know what the quality is like due to the low price.

And all these groups think conservatives are the evil ones. A conservative Christian may as well be the the devil to these people. It's sad that we are all expected to respect other's beliefs whether they are political or otherwise; however, we do not get any respect in return. So much for tolerance, huh?

I fished the canal to try out some new lures. The canal in my area is not srp so the fish in there are definitely not for eating. But I went for just catch and release for bass. Just wondering what anyone else uses to catch bass in a canal. I must have used 10 different lures and spent half a day in there. Bass were jumping a little but not striking. I could even see fish near the edges of the canal but it just wasn't my day. All I caught was a little sunburn.

My husband participated in a spearfishing tournament at lake pleasant a few years ago. No restrictions on bass species. All his catches were large mouth bass. He came in 2nd place and loved it. I've never tried it but I've seen him do it successfully while I'm on the boat without a bite.

what section of the gila? Down stream of the Rez? Caught tons on the upper end and all have been great.Lower end down by PIR.That water comes from a treatment plant. I wouldn't want to eat anything out of there but have seen plenty of people do it.

I'm going to Ashurst this weekend and it's been a while since I've fished for trout. I have a fishing/hunting license but I'm wondering if I need a trout stamp too. Any help would be appreciated.

Ok, that's what I thought, thank you so much. I also have someone coming that will only have a one day license, will they need a trout stamp?

My heart is heavy with all of you posting on here. My dad died last year at the age of 53. Today I wondered if you can ever stop grieving. My answer was "no." I spent the morning looking through his hunting & fishing gear, still the same way he kept everything. I imagine this is a difficult time for anyone who has experienced the loss of their parent. I pray for peace for those that are grieving.

I am allergic to bees but have never been stung. I'm getting an epi pen next week. I don't want to risk not having one with hunting and fishing trips coming up. I'm not sure what the procedure is when you get stung and actually have to use it. But I always hunt & fish with my husband, so it makes me feel a little better knowing someone else is there in case something happens.

Just a question for any ladies out there about hunting gloves. I have an antlerless tag for December and I'm looking for gloves that will allow me to shoot but I'm having a hard time finding gloves that are not too thick. My hands are pretty small, so men's gloves are not an option. I would appreciate any input.

Just wondering if anyone can recommend a reliable site for buying firearms. Guns are bit overpriced in my area and hardly worth it after huge sales tax. There are a ton of sites that do not charge sales tax or shipping. That, and a $20 ffl transfer fee sounds good to me. Right now I'm looking at ordering from Grab a Gun or kygunco. Does anyone have experience with these sites, or could maybe suggest another?

How about Sportsman's Outdoor Superstore? Anyone have any experience with them?

My husband has the .40 and loves it. Very concealable and feels great. His has the thumb safety, but you can get one without. I personally like the safety. Recoil isn't bad either. He likes the trigger on the Shield but I've also heard complaints about it too. There's an Apex trigger kit for those who don't like it. It's a great gun though and I'm starting to want one myself in 9mm. Good luck with your purchase.
