After a light white washing should I seal it and what with?

Thank you! What kind of white paint should I use? Something water soluble that will water down?

my bf tried to restore 40-50 yr old set of Antlers of a buck my grandfather shot and forgot to dilute the stain. It's so dark now. He used walnut and since the antlers were so chalky it just soaked it up. Is there anyway to lighten them or possibly fix it.

They are 40-50 yrs old, chalky and soaked the stain up. He should have diluted it too.

My bf put straight walnut on a very important set of antlers. I was able to brush some off with a wire brush. Is there anything I can do to remove some of the darkness?
