All you holier than thou, greedy guys on here whining and complaining really should take a chill pill, get out away from the computer, do some hiking , drink a beer , go fishing or do something ... The regulations say that Tags and Refunds will be sent by April 17th it is April 2nd... it does not say you are entitled to know what you drew or did not draw by any other date... Give the people a chance to do their jobs. Get off your high horses and realize the world does not revolve around you and your time line.

    Suggestions for AZ Campgrounds

If you do not mind driving and want to be close to many lakes with great wilderness areas I prefer the White Mountain myself, and Hoyer campground... You will be walking or biking distance to the Greer Lakes , with in 15 mins to 1 1/2 hours you can visit from all 3 Greer lakes, little Colorado (sheep's crossing) Lee Valley, Crescent, Big Lake, (On the Res with tribal permit Sunrise and Reservation), Black River down to Alpine and the Blue .... There is so much to see up there that 10 days in a very good camp ground will not seem like enough ... granted there are many surrounding campgrounds that are not bad ( someone mentioned Winn) but Rainbow at Big lake is great too ... If it were me I would not try to cover all the North in 10 days , pick an area and make the most of it ... and next time pick another like Flag up to The Kaibab and Canyon, but that is just my opinion.... Good luck, Have fun, and be safe

Can you help me work on my Wood?

I seen a similar table top and the guy used some type of colored epoxy to make the holes look filled with amber.... was years ago and do not know how he did it but the finished product was pretty impressive ! good luck

    unit 23 camping

Canyon creek has some spots that you have very close access .... If you want to camp and then head out for a short drive to scout and search 23, camping along Christopher creek is a good option as well. just all depends on what you are looking for.

    Did that get deleted?

The reality is that the parents are the ones who are ultimately accountable and the actions of teens can end up taking away the rights of the parent as well as fines. I can agree we all did stupid things growing up , but I grew up in a time where it only took a look from my dad or grandfather to know I would never be doing that again... When my friends and I (before paintball guns were around) cut off the tops of 410 shells emptying the shot and leaving the wadding in so we could proceed to play war, the whipping from the belt when my dad found out was far worse than getting hit at 30 feet with that wadding (and that too left a nice welt and bruise) ... I think these newer generations lack a great deal of respect and discipline in a majority of their decisions, when they approach situations and people, and that the parents here have a great opportunity to teach them a lesson, only question is will they?

    Weird deaths!

In 6th grade, while on week long school trip,we were tenting just outside Phantom Ranch in the Grand Canyon . Having our back packs hung on lines did not stop this tight walking ring tailed cat from slithering his way into the back packs and stealing snacks during the first 2 nights. On the 3rd night that came to a stop, when he ended up hanging himself with a rope tie down while slithering out of pack. He was found hanging the next morning from a friends pack covered in orange and smelling of Doritos

    game and fish

Again, I seem to recall a bunch of holier than thou members her complaining about the late applicants and feeling that their last minutes attempt and the web site issues were not a good excuse for extending the deadline... These Guys went as far as pasting the disclaimer of non liability by G&F to support their position... Looks Like G&F should only use paper apps and apps that processed properly in system and stick to their guidelines... Yes I am playing devils advocate a little because I stated that when something like this happens, that the same ones complaining would then be all for G&F trying to right by them if it affected them. Let the week of whining, yelling, crying, and disparaging G&F begin!!!!

    Bowfishing reports?

The males are working up into the thicker cover in shallower water, was tearing them up on a gold , with orange belly yozuri shallow runner fishing it slow stop and go .... look to drop shot the deeper water 15-25 ft for some of the bigger females, I did not feel they are staging real hard for the spawn yet , but should over the next couple weeks... crappie we could find in a few areas but getting them to take anything was a lost cause ( I am blaming that moon phase last weekend) that should change over these next couple weekends as well. these next couple weekends could be good for using a light at night in Salome for both crappie and bass, but that is my opinion.

    Bowfishing reports?

can only speak for last weekend and wind was not an issue though we thought it would be .... both days were almost perfect with the early morning winds burning away with the rising sun, and only a couple hours of nice breeze in early afternoon. Not a whitecap all weekend!

    AZGFD DOES IT AGAIN

I say use eminent domain to take enough land for easements to be built for access to public lands ... I understand bad apples have been reason for some individuals to close access, but just as many have been closed in order to secure public lands and charge for access utilizing outfitters and guides. I am all for Rules restricting the taking of wildlife on public lands that are not open to the Entire public. The greed of few hurt the many ....

    Bowfishing reports?

Was up this weekend bass fishing this weekend and seen thousands of carp balled up, kissing the surface and cruising the shorelines between the ranger station and the Badger Boat ramp on Windy Hill... Not unusual to see a lot like that, this time of year, but I can not say I have ever seen as many as we had this weekend and packed solid for over half a mile of shoreline from 2 to 10 feet of water.

    Ethics

Again showing your ignorance, but that is Okay since the truth about rules you either know nothing about or choose to ignore must hurt you that bad. Funny that a person that does not empathize with your position, you find it easier to label falsely and open yourself up to libel and slander charges. Continue to do so and I will show you what laws are about. This is a published website and while you can disagree with me and tell me that in your opinion I am full of shoot, call me a hypocrite. What you can not do is to falsely accuse me and call me a thief. So here is your warning and one for any other person out there who does not understand. If someone does not agree with you or empathize with you for losing something taken by others this does not make them a thief, and to wrongfully accuse in that manner on a public forum is Slanderous and libel. I know you may have a hard time understanding rules and laws but if you choose to continue to defame me, because I do not empathize or agree with you, then you are putting yourself and Amanda in an awkward position. You do not have to like me, I do not really care if you do. The fact is what I shared here is my opinion and facts about the laws and rules of OUR public lands... I am sorry if that is a jagged pill for you swallow.

    Ethics

Even ignorant to technology these days, if you think when I am miles from any road that I can not connect ... heck it is amazing how often you find decent data signal by pushing up to top of some of the big hills... by this time next year you will know if I have visited your cameras , licks and blinds as the GPS locations will be published for all to see... I started the framework a couple years ago and pulled back because of some decent guys on this and another site asking me to. If you think I am not willing to put the boots to the ground, you are very misguided and I would even bet that their are enough willing to pay for that kind of information to make a full time career of it.... I guess the whole first come first serve ethics will be put to the test more as placing personal property and leaving it on OUR public lands does not make it your spot...

    Ethics

CnS , you and Shane must have selective reading ... See I would not take something abandoned, but I would let the proper LEO know and I have watched them remove trailers that have sat unattended for weeks trying to secure a site for an upcoming hunt. Just because I do not empathize with those of you who gamble and lose when leaving stuff out on our public lands does not make me one of the people who take stuff... I actually just do not care that much. I would go the route I almost did a couple years ago and may go ahead and do this year ... and that is to create a website publishing GPS coordinates to every stand, cam, blind and honey hole I find in the units I hunt and hike ( I have a pretty good list in some of the more popular units) ... I will make sure to share the link when I get it up and running! p.s. CnS when I exceed the speed limit I do not cry when I get caught and given a ticket, even if I was not more than 10 mph over... see that is what taking a gamble may give you in the end. Actions and Consequences ... Make a poor decision and lose that is your fault ... I do not trust enough to leave $$$$ laying unattended in the forests for too long, and the way many of you talk with the thousands of nights of camp set up in my life I must be dang lucky not to never have anything taken.

Ignorance is Bliss even applies to those Hunters who choose to remain ignorant of the rules/laws .... Ghost if you are saying I would rather follow the rules and be Ethical leaving a tag unfilled, you are correct... While that kind of statement shows you are most likely the kind of hunter that will sacrifice Ethics to fill your tag and for that I am sure you can be proud.
