Wow, I wouldn't have thought a bald eagle would bother with swallow babies! Neat sighting. It was one of the craziest things I have seen in Nature as it really did seem as he went after the swallows nest out of pure rage and frustration after losing the fish ... We had slept on the boat overnight and it was not long after sun up that the eagles arrived .. was cool watching 2 of the young birds make several failed attempts at grabbing a fish before Pops swooped down and yanked a nice size carp out ... You could tell he was onto the buzzards and stood guard as the 3 tore into the carp but within minutes the buzzards had all chasing them while the other snagged the fish ( that was what I found so amazing as it did seem like it was very well planned )

A couple years ago we seen a Big Male teaching and helping 3 young ( could not have been flying very long) catch and feed on fish... The young were feeding a large carp on a stump at the back of Salome at Roosevelt, when 4 of 5 buzzards tactically lured them and daddy away from their catch while the 5th flew in the back door and stole their breakfast... This Left The Male very upset , at which time he decided to take it out on the mud nests and I believe Swallows that line the dirt cliffs... he bombarded about a half dozen nests feeding on the young birds inside. 15 years ago it seemed like you would only see a couple of the few pair nesting up in the Tonto end of the lake ... The last couple years we see them all over the lake from tonto to Salt... and seeing them is always an awe inspiring moment. Been a While but use to always fish under a pair at Horseshoe Cienega who had their nest in the tall dead pine right close to shore on the North East shore across from the boat launch... Been a few years but I am betting they are still hanging around.

Always an awesome site ... the eagle population and ranges have been growing well ... they can be seen at pretty much all over the northern half of state now days even seen one around the Elliot and Elsworth area in Mesa about a month ago ....

Well obviously he was addressing the individuals who were in fact familiar with his group and were in fact speaking ill of him personally. Come on, you can't expect that we was refering to EVERYONE on that post, you're more intelligent than that. If you can't understand why a guy would be upset and then judge 9200 people by his being upset.. your view is a tad narrow. Its pretty plain if you can read, what I am here about, a few punk kids running their mouths about people they don't know. It's not my group, I am a memeber and admin on the group. I have been a member here since 2004 and I'm going to have some fun around here again now too. Donnie the thread was a rant about e-scouters and individuals putting blindly into the draw and getting lucky ... The group was brought out as an example and because it was there that the OP got wound up and decided to rant. There were just as many posts about e scouters in general as there were about the group and I do not recall a post singling out Mr. Brigham or Jbee or whoever he is ... until after he came onboard. There were some comments on experiences other individuals had with that group ... but the theme was E-scouters Not Broadhead Brohood ...

I do not see what you are defending. He walked into a topic , one that had several people, like me, not even aware of the group , and calling people bitches ... That was enough of a first impression for me to not care much for the Bro Hood . Leading anything , or representing anything for that point, you are going to have opposition and ridicule. It is how you handle those situations that will either support or help negate the negative rhetoric... His reply gave the rest some validity IMO. Have fun in your Group.

@ donniedent ... I had never heard of Broadband Brotherhood prior to yesterdays post ( not on facebook much at all ) ... What I will say, is that Jbee or whatever the heck his name is missed an opportunity to show civility and class in regards to your group ... First impressions are important and he did not give a good one with his first post in that thread. He started a pissing match and kept it going and from the sound of it .. anyone acting like that on your group would have been excommunicated , booted , given their walking papers. I can be an butt as much as the next guy , but I am not representing anyone but myself. He IMO is representing any and all who claim to be in your brotherhood.

They need to stop wasting money on all the school administrators ... Far too many earning far too much .... What ever happened to all the trust money If I recall 500 million to a billion that was suppose to flood into schools between 2001 and 2011 after voted on in 2000 ( I think it was prop 300 or 301 ) ... From my understanding very little made it as far down as teachers and students...

Been able to get on some crappie at saguaro lake the last couple trips caught a couple dozen Nice Blacks ... Several in the 2lb range .... Really wish we Would hear good from San Carlos.... miss the days of 40 plus fish drifting and trolling .

The bull in my avatar must only be 360 then No yours is actually a big elk. Id say in the 390-410 range. The pic here is deceiving. Look at the size and length of his head compared to the antlers. Yes his 3rds are very long which is why i put him at 340 instead of 325-330. I bet his mains are not evn 50". Probably only 45" mains. The right side 4th in his pic is only 14" or so. Left side bigger. Just my opinion That is what I was looking at and maybe the poor pic is a little deceiving but I was figuring those main beams at 44 - 45 inches ....may have about 24 - 25 inches of mass on each side ( not close to 30 IMO) and the g3's are probably closer to 18 maybe 20 ( not much curl on them at all) but with lacking g4's .... When I said 120ish I was figuring high 120's and possibly up to mid 130's which was stated .. but unless he finds the sheds or it hits the ground we are just speculating anyway .... Unlike Ghosts pic where you can judge a little more figuring low to mid 380's ... big difference between the two IMO ...

I do not know of a Local place ... Outdoosgeek.com I believe, ships for rental but at the cost you may be able to rent a pop up .... I know there was a place in Scottsdale that rented like the jumping Jack setups for around 50 - 60 a night .. but would have to get back with you on the name when I am home. or you could find lodging in Young or Heber

I would pay double that if every dollar went to gaining us Better access and it did " I Support Hunter's access" As it is, I see no additional value , unless they can show every dollar spent is towards improving and maintaining our Big Game Herds, something I doubt they could or will do ... I would hate to think of those funds being shoved into the same account as the rest and programs not directly related to improving the quality of hunting in state getting increases in their budgets... Not enough Transparency as it stands and a Lot of money wasted IMO ...

Put him down and measure him for us!! Everyone is getting sucked in on his g3's which are impressive in length but I am not seeing much in mass for any of the tines much less his main beams(which look to be lacking in length as you stated) ... I still think somewhere in the 320's and 335 would be on the high side but going over that seems a stretch .... Seen a lot of Bulls guys said were 350 plus that went at or under 320 when they hit the Dirt.

Unless they have really upgraded the map.. IT Sucks IMO ! You would be better off Downloading the onXmaps HUNT map for AZ and using it with Basecamp for Garmin. What other services are gained by Joining other than the enhanced map?

Would it be too much of a stretch, that according to the OP's post and Tag numbers that he and his buddy were issued some of the additional tags due to the mistake with the draw... If that is the case and he is so passionate about the number of tags in the unit, IMO the only right thing to do would be to forfeit their tags for the sake of conservation and to not screw the guys that drew tags 1 - 4

Keep one or two if you want dinner ... Do not listen to all these other people who make you out to be hurting the brown trout population .... While I may not take a limit of browns from a stream I sure would not worry about having one for dinner.

It is an App bonus point the average of all Applicants ... Which does get abused a little ... Say wifey has bought bonus points for 10 years and has her Loyalty and Hunters Ed for a total of 12 .. and Pappa got drawn last year but has his Hunters Ed and Loyalty ... This year he does a 2 person App With Mamma and it is 12 + 2 divided by 2 ... Both Have 7 bonus points .... Now with the new surrender program , Say they get drawn ... Mamma Surrenders her tag now has 13 BP ... and Next year Pappa puts in with her now they both have 8 ( 13 + 2 / 2 = 7.5 .. the .5 is rounded up to 8 ).. But if drawn Mamma can not surrender again
