He’s well over 400. Beams are 60+. I initially had him at 405 and underbid.

Seems like I spend half of my life walking in the dark. Like some others have said, rattlesnakes scare me the worst. But that’s why God invented headlamps!

I’m guessing it was shot at night and not recovered. Then they were too nervous to deal with it during daylight hours or never found it at all. Probably a small caliber (less noise).

I posted the picture of the dead elk on the elk forum and know who found it.
-
No, the head was attached to the rotten carcass.

Oh yes, that ones the same. Sorry

Oh yes! That one is the same. Sorry

Not the same bull. The poached bull was a 7x8. It was rifle shot before the archery season opened. Probably not recovered or something halted the recovery. This is is the bull:

Doesn’t exist! Thank God!

The tank was in 7E. Only one tank. To me there’s no doubt it’s a greedy dirtbag who wants to push a bull to a different tank. These people need to go away permanently!

Awesome! I think I’d do the same with that tag! But it would be brutal! Good luck!
-
Outstanding bull! Cool to have those velvet photos too!
-
Yes sir! Those smaller bulls think they’ve died and gone to Heaven right now! Lol

Elk from bottom to top. Getting up high with quality glass is a good strategy. You will find bulls. Probably lots of them.

Half way there! This last one is my favorite!

I’m lost too. How did Margay cat even come up?????

I’m thinking yes. It’s a year for the books for sure, kind of a perfect storm with healthy bulls going into a wet winter as spring. I somehow missed that Mullins outfitters bull. Such a cool beast!

Was just thinking about this case. Man it’s been a long time!

Some great pics! Thanks for sharing!

They were early to start for sure. I’ll be anxious to see what the back ends look like in the next round of pics. It seems like every year the velvet shed doesn’t vary much though. Right at the middle of August. Take a couple of weeks off for dry out and they should finish within the next 2-3 weeks. You’re right on the auction tags!
