As long as you butcher in less than 10 days (again cooler not cool bot), I have not come across wasting any meat. If you get into that 14 day mark plus, I can see stuff starting jerk or mold over at some point I'm sure, but never an issue and on waste under 10. I can't speak to the cool bot timing though but as mentioned if you wrap after a day, then I'm sure you could hang for any length of time. Open air in a cool bot, could be a huge waste.

We have an actual walk cooler but a friend of mine has a cool bot in a room he built and it works great however because the ac also evaporates all moisture after a full day of hanging he wraps hanging carcasses in plastic wrap after the animal dries out (about 24 hours), Otherwise the meat turns to jerky in days. I don't think our game meat benefits from time in a cooler to the same degree that beef does although I'm sure it helps some however I would guess the combination of a.c. And wrapping in plastic even further lessons the positive effects that hanging has. But it sure doesn't hurt and all of the other financial, time and ensuring you get your meat benefits still remain. We love having our walk in because we had the same problem, got home from a hunt and drive only to have to cut and wrap. Best thing about building one is it you have the room that you can put a cut and wrap table inside and process in your cool room. That would awesome to have.

I posted on here before a couple of mounts that Authentic has down for us these past couple of year (dual goats, dual pigs and a badger) and we just got back 3 bears this month from him for our group (2 rugs and a 1/2 mount) and wanted to give Troy another plug for great work and a good guy to work with!

Seeker really nice looking mounts. where are you located? And bone collector I love that mount. I posted a couple that authentic taxidermy did for us after I saw yours we just got a bear rug back from him as well. So far I'm really happy with with his work and him.

Thanks! So roughly a 3% type change over the last 10 years. I would assume total applications are 10 fold to that just based on population growth alone. Its hard for me to believe our deer population is the same today as it was 10 years ago as I would assume harvest rates haven't gone down over that time period either. I'll stand with my earlier suggestion... limit the tags, make it a 3+ point system to apply and no shooting spikes or rotate units with no spike harvest--anything to be able to actually pass a deer up and not see that deer being packed out later that day.
-
Does anyone know the number of total tags given out over the last 5 years or so and if that number has seen any change? It has grown dramatically over the last 10 years or so when G&F added 2nd, 3rd and 4th hunts in some units, but not sure about trends in last 5. It would appear that Az is managing to smaller herd sizes in everything for certain.

Cut tags by 10-20% and make everything except youth hunts at min 3 points to draw and no shooting spikes! This will start a riot here, but I'd vote for it in a second-- All of us residents already have 2 points before the draw, so you can't draw 2 years in a row.. big deal. At least whey you do draw, you will have a few of last year spikes to look at and place to look without some one walking by. More and more people moving into the state, more and more shooting/wounding animals too far away with better and better equipment all with lessening habitat to not do something about it. My .02

I go for shorter, more lymric and more of an anthem myself--not what you are going after but here is light version: It was the 3rd June in O'Three When a new he!! called us to be An evening of anguish as giant blooms fill the sky Not of the heavens but from a devilish guy The next morn brings hope until we see That the winds have stirred the flames like a hive full of angry bee The maelstrom has gone unwrangled How appropriate this Rodeo leaves everything in its path mangled The Lord once asked who shall I send, who will go for us The warriors respond like armies, including our leader who goes without fuss Lupe leads his men of courage Send one send all as we make a stand to steal this beast's forage Lupe and his men succeed Despite the wrath of the fire that only wants to be freed Lupe will go home to be heroic ever more To his native land, Apache to the core A year after this victorious fight We lost this man, full of might This tribute is to this great man Who gave his life for all in yet another stand

Towing out of terminal 4 garage sky harbor

Going down that spiral ramp with no power brakes.... That would be interesting even in low gear and emergency brake. I can't believe a two rope would work either- pretty tight turns there. That's a tough call. If not something I could fix, vote for mobile mechanic or as mentioned contact the airport regarding a row. Good luck! -
Is anyone running and have thoughts on and/or have a line on a decent bug screen to protect the coolant systems on trucks (radiator, trans cooler, turbo cooler etc)? I was looking at the behind the grill ones mainly just for the cosmetics of it, but I'm not sure I like how they attach. Looking for any thoughts? Only two I can find for behind the grill are: Not sure I like the attach points on this one https://www.bugscreenwarehouse.com/products/behind-the-grille-bug-screen/behind-the-grille-bug-screen-ford/ I've heard good things about the D-bug screen, but I think they are out of business and last ones on ebay are not for my model https://www.ebay.com/i/221212280442?chn=ps Thanks
-
Did mine today. Came out good I think. Time will tell. Thanks for the encouragement! I used the existing plastic pins and a few screws attaching the grill etc. Hope it holds if not I'm out $8. Thanks again

Thanks. Seems simple enough. Are you attaching to the inside of the grill or outside of the radiator?
