Totally agree and I'm not trying to justify anything so no offense taken, I seriously wanted to know what the rule or law literally was and if it really existed or just urban legend. Thiefs are thiefs and the law really doesn't matter to the shat heads either way, but again just curious what the actual law was. I've heard over night, I've heard 24 hours and now that you say that, I have heard 72 hours. I appreciate it and OP sorry some azzwipe took your blind. I've lost a camera or two, had my trailer broken in one either day 1 or day 2 (we were back day 3) and took about 3K worth of stuff, but have not had a blind stolen yet, but generally don't leave them on water so I guess just been lucky.

I would assume anything titled would have an ownership record. And again, just curious if anyone knows the actual law is. I just know what I've been told. Didn't mean to hijack this thread by any means, just piqued my interest when I read it.

Not starting an argument and total BS and I sympathize with you, but am curious what the law actually is. From my understanding, anything left overnight or unmanned on public land is considered abandon and can be taken? Can it legally be taken by anyone or only by a fed employee? Sorry, not familiar with the Belmonts, assuming nat forrest or trust land. Again total crap and I'd be upset too but I'm assuming no real legal recourse given this, from what I understand.

    Drought and Javelina?

We noticed 2 things on the 3-4 herds that we have been chasing around the last 10 years or so. Very very few Reds and our herds seem to be split up a bit more.. herds of 12 are now 6. No idea if drought related, but I assume.

The Myth of the Corn Fed Deer as Good Eats

I've shot plenty of deer in Wi, Mo and Iowa and they do not hold a candle to our desert deer (mule and coues and of course pronghorn being the absolute best) for taste. Those deer also gunk up a grinder as well (just a fattier meat). We are meticulous about all of our game meat so that is fairly consistent and while midwestern deer taste ok but these jojoba and desert plant and scrub oak eating desert deer taste infinitely better to me and have since day one. But as mentioned for God sake don't tell anyone about that or our 6-9 months of pretty darn good weather.

    Norinco SKS

When I think of the cases of these we used to get in (10 or 12 to a case and I don't know probably a few hundred cases over the years) and all full of that cosmoline crap that we would have to clean off to show people wanting to look at a dozen of them to pick out the best wood (all on sale for $79.99 btw), makes me mad I didn't buy a case or two of them. Oh the good old days. Good luck with sale!

I'd give Tuff shed or Graceland a call. They obviously have the equipment and knowledge. Might be a little side gig they run.....

    Game Cameras- G&F Agenda

I get the give them an inch and they will take a mile argument, but it also about adapting to current situations. Land encroachment, population, technology, etc etc. I don't miss predator contests for money, I don't miss leg hold traps and pretty sure in a year or two I won't miss game cameras (something none of us had 10 years ago btw). All of this is still a privilege and curating it is as important (maybe even the key to) as protecting it IMO. I'm more concerned about what is sure to be an increase in archery applicants with 'shoulder' issues using air bows than I am not being able to sit on my couch while 'scouting' 24/7. The former affects me a whole bunch more. I can imagine the outfitters and others have been and are exploiting the crap out of this with in and out of state hunters.. you mean I can hunt bull elk, in the rut, before anyone else and shoot 150yards using a rifle and with 1/2 the points? Let the animals and habitat win one back (maybe even level the playing field a bit for the average joe vs the outfitters in some spots) and take some pressure off (whether is a bunch or a little, it's something) and find animals the old fashion way. My continued .02 anyway.

    Over the counter tags

Shocking - however probably a large jump from the 07 change of 100K plus - 30+%?

    Over the counter tags

Total assumptions, but I would also suggest that a higher % of the population is hunting. Az has had what 1.5-2% growth in population yearly since those changes mentioned in the article were put into effect. So figuring a 25-30% increase in raw population. I would also suggest a higher percentage of first timers are hunting every year and Az and increasingly more attractive for all out of non residents for OTC tags. So let's just say conservatively 30-40% increase in hunters in the woods over the last 10-12 years and I would suggest we have a much smaller deer population now than 10 years ago too. Doesn't take a public forum or a deep biological study for me to get behind changes are needed and now. I don't believe any of the harvest numbers as the self reporting doesn't work. Make it mandatory within 24hours. Simple phone number with date of kill, unit and number of points. Anything found not reported within 24hours is automatic license suspension.

    Over the counter tags

I've heard that too. Just seems like it has to be better then everyone near the road getting killed... maybe some survive, but if you are doubling up at that same pace, then yeah I can see where it hurts. Might depend on the penalty too and if you do at least 2 points on both sides...Make the penalty harsh enough to be the deterrent maybe?

    Over the counter tags

I've said this a few times, have to quit shooting spikes, reduce the number of tags by 1/3 or more and double the price of a deer tag if you want to make up for it.
