Good luck. From what I am hearing from everybody I know here the draw this year sucked. Residents that normally get their 2nd or 3rd choice drew nothing. I guess that is what happens when you have over 200,000 applicants for 58,000 tags.

Since I don't hunt in AZ, even though I want to, I am going to go put cameras on waterholes and when they get confiscated then we will find out how much I get paid for the violation of my rights. I am not breaking any laws so they can't take my cameras. It is up to the land use manager to determine if cameras are allowed, not G&F.

I got red and green. Third time in 11 yeas I didn't draw an elk tag but did get my archery Coues hunt. Really wanted to go after them with a rifle but 50/50 shot for residents to draw the rifle hunt.

Just heard from my G&F buddy that the system was hacked. All draw data was corrupted and they are going to have to do the draw again. Will delay the results until May 16th. Sorry to all.

That means creed got a tag, or he bought a turkey license, something that triggered the hunting license purchase. If you requested a refund and were able to buy a hunting license then you didn't draw. Doesn't work for me since I don't get a refund since I buy the hunting and fishing license. Tomorrow before 10AM I am predicting.

I bet he is just pulling my, now our legs. I checked online and have to log into the online system to look up draw results online portion. All my hunts are still there and say pending. Under the box it says if ineligible to look at your application. I bet we get results tomorrow. Here's Hoping

did you run in over with your truck and freeze it in a block of ice? Ive always wondered if they work as advertised I seen it advertised on their flashlights but not the lanterns. I will have to try the lanterns as I did try it on the flashlight and it still works.

Last year at Walmart I bought the Atomic Beam that takes 3 AA batteries. It has a magnetic base, hook in the base, or the handle so many ways to use it. The brightness is dependent on how far you open it so you can control the amount of light. I hung it from the ridge pole in the tent and in the morning just pull it down for light. Easy to take it to the outhouse or out to the grill. Used it for two weeks and it is still going on one set of batteries.

Since the NM State question is "Red or Green?" hopefully we all get green. I bet I get Christmas.

I just checked the G&F website. It now says "There are no current draws" my apps say "pending". Last week I could still delete my application, why anybody would do that ? Wonder if we are getting e-mails tomorrow or Wednesday.

I have a problem with them trying to regulate "fair chase" like trying to regulate ethics. Where is it going to stop? You can't jump on a quad and race down a forest road to get in front of an elk because that is against "fair chase". You can't shoot animals at 1000 yards because that is against "fair chase". No more using spotting scope and binos because only your unaided eye can be used to find game under "fair chase". Shooting a compound bow over 60 yards is against "fair chase" and ethics. I mean there are some I won't hunt with anymore because their opinion and mine differ on "fair chase" and ethics. When the government starts to regulate what I consider right and wrong is just a load of horse apples.

Closed means closed. This happened one year over here by Datil. Almost didn't get to go elk hunting because the forest was closed but luckily the monsoon rains hit before elk season and it reopened. Signs everywhere and locked gates. I sure wasn't going to push my luck and get caught in there when it was closed. The good news was it wasn't a wasted trip as we went to Pie Town.

Beside I am going nuts until I find out NM results to see if I get to go elk hunting again so I am looking at maps, reading regs, and even looking into CO regs and thinking about an OTC hunt there if I don't draw. I may have to go put out some trail cameras just to get out of the house.
