If you are running it on propane look at the flame. It is the same coil that cools whether it is on electric or propane. What I ran into when I was an RV tech for Holiday Rambler is rust will build up where the burner tube is. If you don't have a good flame take the burner tube out and dump it in your hand. I did that once and ended up with about 1/4 cup of rust that was not allowing the flame to be high enough to actually cool. Look at that first.

I don't know how to respond. When I first draw back I center the sight with the peep and check the level. Then I focus on the pin and the target. I don't know how my body adjust for different pins, never paid attention. I think for my 60 yard pin I am standing straight up and for my 20 yard pin I am bent slightly forward at the waist. I don't raise the bow up and down with my arm, I think I adjust pins by bending. Whatever I do it seems to work. So I guess I would have to say center sight rather than pin.

How far is too far of a shot?

.270 I would like to ask you a question, not an argument, and not hijack the thread. I tried to send you a PM but board said you can't receive any new messages. -
Go to bow site, read the 192 post topic started by an out of stater, and you will find out game management is a state right. It has all the references to the lawsuits and USSC cases. All the lawsuits against the states filed under the 14th amendment, which is what gay rights won under, have supported the states and not out of state hunters. So no you can't transfer licenses across state lines.

Very good write up and good points made. I think it was stated in a very neutral, non-confrontational manner. -
Sorry to hear that. I had to put down my 16 year old German Shepherd 17 years ago and at times I will still cry over her to this day.

The Albq. airport has nothing to report but at my house 30 miles south I have gotten an inch in the last 3 days. Every day they have flash flood warnings on the TV messing up what I am watching. The real tragedy was up at Philmont Scout camp, four scouts got washed away from a flash flood and one was a fatality, they rescued the other three.

Didn't know I said the same thing. In fact I think I said 180 degrees what you did. Believe me I have run into enough "handy fixes" to know to fix it right. The best ones I have run into so far is where a 2 wire with ground MC (hot, neutral, and ground) needed two hot circuits. So what did the electrician do you might ask? Instead of pulling a 3 wire with ground MC ( 2 hots, neutral, ground) 20 feet in the drop ceiling they just made the ground hot and left it green. The other one was a 480 volt 3 phase motor where everything from the disconnect into the motor was green from when they built the hotel (original electricians). So needless to say when the engineering staff hooked up the replacement motor I got called to replace the motor again as well as the motor starter and while I was there I replaced the wire from the disconnect into the motor and phase identified it. I even checked rotation of the motor before turning it on. You don't have to quote code to be right. I didn't even quote code, I made reference to the code book. If you want to get into an electrical debate we can whip out EE98J's and see whose is bigger.

Murpys69law---I don't think they could cite you. You have to read the definition of wanton waste. I think if the antlers/horns only were taken without the meat they would cite you. You tried to recover the animal but scavengers got to it first so there was no intent of wanton waste. Just like the animals that are tracked and never recovered. I would document with pictures and if they tried to cite me, it is always better to be tried by 12 than carried by 6. Like I said animals getting to an animal before you do occasionally happens. I have learned to use my experience to judge each situation and make decisions based on "now" factors. I appreciate other responses and experiences that have been posted.

No the reason your fridge is not plugged into a GFCi is the fridge is a small kitchen appliance. I bet the home run for one of the two required 20 amp small kitchen appliance circuits comes into the fridge and then goes to a GFCI that is line/load wired. The NEC code book requires all kitchen receptacles serving the countertops to be GFIC protected. The fridge receptacle does not serve a countertop so it is not GFCI protected. Now the NEC code requires all receptacles in the garage to be GFIC protected, even the garage door opener. I have had my freezer plugged into a GFIC for 10 years and it has only gone out twice, not for very long, due to the pump on my water feature, never due to the freezer.
-
That sucks. If the meat was still cold it is good. My freezer in my garage is on a GFCI but the good thing is my water feature by the front door is on the same circuit. I know right away if the power is not getting to that circuit. Did the same thing for my uncles freezer in an outbuilding, wired in a weatherproof lamp socket and put a light bulb where you could see it from the house. No light either burned out bulb or no power.

I have only caught one or two flatheads over here but I love channel cats. One thing I use for bait is jackrabbit. After the first frost or two hits I go get a bunch of jacks for bait. Stringy enough to stay on the hook well and seems like cats love it. Just make sure you label it well when you put it in the freezer.

I am rooting for the 40 year old guy eating slugs and muscles. He seems to have it together. Loved his take on Julia Childs, just add more wine.

300ultramag--For shelter I usually have either a big contractors trash bag or a light weight painters tarp. Good enough to block the wind or keep any rain off. I carry a cable saw and some 550 cord so building a lean to is no problem. Usually if I spend the night away from camp I just cut some boughs to make a bed and sleep under a decent tree like a Blue Spruce. idgaf---I don't think I have big enough juevos to follow a bear or lion after dark.

^^^^ ^^^^ First Rule of Big Bucks: You don't talk about the unit unless you want everybody and their grand pappy running over you in future years. -
The problem you have is uneducated Americans or corporations vote all these politicians into office. Term limits need to be put into place in congress so things can change. Until you have smart people and not corporations electing congress nothing is going to change. Once Texas executes a corporation I believe they should be able to vote but it is all their $$$ buying what we have now. I have heard a lot about the media as well. Just remember the media is only as conservative or liberal as the companies that own them. You can't get an unbiased report on the news. Yes a lot needs to be changed, including not shipping our jobs overseas.

Cool. I really like that funky triple beam. That is the one I would be after.

If you are going to eat them don't get them mad before killing them. Best snake I had was quail hunting and catching them sunning in the river bed. 12 gauge to the head before they could get mad. Then I tanned the hides and made hat bands which I gave away to friends.

So what was the outcome, or has it not gone yet?

i cant say i have done a tree stand for these very reasons. I can move more without being seen, have a shelter, can sleep in it over night if I have too. and the only falling I worry about is falling asleep. A well concealed ground blind is just as boring but its not as restricitve. Good luck though, I have some buddies who swear by them but to each his own. I usually still hunt but there are times I like sitting a waterhole or trail. I get there well before dark and might take a little nap. That way I have some time to check wind and let the woods quiet down before it gets close to sunset. For a sunrise hunt I will go in at 3 a.m., make sure I turn off the cell service and use my phone with an earbud for an alarm clock. I am also a sleep walker and when I was about 10 night fishing with my uncle and dad I got a rude awakening. They thought I was going to hang it off the back of the boat but I stepped off sleep walking. Everybody should definitely use a safety harness in a tree stand. OSHA says they are required for my work so why not use one for play. wait so you were sleep walking and walked off the boat? did I read that correct? Exactly. Must have been dreaming of water skiing.

I was referring to a completely different store, like the adult kind .I made my own brackets and went to Harbor Freight for a cheap set of ratcheting straps to attach them so I had an idea what you were talking about.

I wouldn't even look at an add for strap ons .

I like ground blinds. Easier to stretch out and take a nap.
