I haven't tried them. I think they are trying to get part of the Rage, Swacker, etc. market. The way my Magnums and Exodus shoot I see no reason to try them. I am a fixed blade guy so there is my prejudice.

Anybody know of a trigger job that can be done to lessen the DA trigger pull? Maybe I will just have to take it to a gunsmith. Seems like the DA pull is long and heavy and I am having a problem getting use to the traditional DA/SA pull. It is one of the older Gen 3 pistols as it has the square trigger guard. Decent shooting gun for self defense even if it is a 9MM and my daughter seems to like it over the .38, .40, and Para CCW .45 with the LDA.

You didn't see the two legged dear laying on the pool floaty in the back yard of that one house? Need to upgrade your optics.

I prefer to be compared to a shark and not a wolf. I do remember my first post was not a "Hi. This is who I am, these are my interest and I would like to make new friends and talk about hunting" but more of a give me advise on a unit I drew a tag for and can't afford the time to go scout. SARCASM IN THE PREVIOUS LINE. I didn't draw a tag this year but have been to a unit 4 times that I am applying for next year, just in case I draw it I will have a starting point.

Awesome! Watched it as soon as it came out on Youtube.

I am liking it. I can't figure out how to get the black writing on the brown background so I just set the default and it seems to work better for me to read. It also seems like it will be easier to post pics since that option now shows up at the bottom of the post you are making.

Ok i was donated a 13b archery tag NOW WHAT? 😯
Red Sparky replied to hoghntr's topic in Mule Deer Hunting
I hear there are 30-40 cameras on every water hole so you should be able to buy some information since every deer is inventoried and named. -
So your point is it is a land management issue. Then go cry to the land managers, not the hunting guys. Game departments can only regulate the animals and the way they are harvested on the land and not the use of the land itself. USFS and BLM are multi use lands, meaning there are multiple users of the land. Trail cam users are one of them just like backpacking or bird watching is one of them. Banning trail cameras because you don't like their use is just one step away from PETA banning hunting because they don't like seeing gut piles and bleached bones from hunters. See what I did there, blaming all bleached bones on hunters and not other predation.

I have seen more beer cans, broken bottles, and trash along the road than trail cams in the woods. Not to mention the crap burned in fire rings. Then again I stay away from water holes for the most part. In an arid environment the water holes congregate the animals. Good hunters know that and hunt around water holes, cameras or not. I have seen more damage done to the environment by dirt bikes, atvs, utvs, and side by sides, wood cutters, mountain bikers, etc. than trail cams. So put your money where your mouth is and pick up the beer cans and litter along the forest roads. I take trash bags with me for just such occasions.

I don't understand the fair chase issue. If every tank has multiple cameras then multiple people will hunt those tanks. The increase of human activity will make the animal change it's pattern. It is still fair chase because you can't make the animal come in at a certain time on a certain day. Nothing guarantees you an animal, or particular animal, on public land. Now suppose the hunter knows there is a 220" mule deer and that is the only animal they are going to put their tag on. Every other deer wether it be a forky or a 190" deer will be passed by that hunter looking for the 220" deer. That is the way they choose to hunt and more power to them for only settling for the animal they want. You also assume it is only hunters and guides running them thar cameras. You personally know every camera owner and know they are a guide or hunter? Maybe it is some bird watcher trying to catch a red throated nut chaser. Maybe they are put out by PETA members keeping tabs on hunters. Maybe they are put out by scientist or hobbyist to track herds. You sound like you need a blanky and a nap with your baba.

Get welding tip cleaners and clean the orifice. Also check the thermocouple and low O2 shutoff.

Any artistic ability? I know one guy that gets scrap lumber and plywood from the dumpster of new home construction sites and builds doghouses.

Welcome to capitalism. Sometimes there are jobs I don't want to do and bid them high to make sure I don't get them.

Sounds like my set up but I use Axis with Slick Tricks. With my 30" draw length at 68# I am getting 285fps out of mine. With broad heads I don't shoot groups anymore for the fletching/ nock reason. I shoot a 5 dot target and make the best shot I can and then compare the 5 targets to see how they would group. If at 40 yards they all are hitting in the same spot I now the bow s tuned. It also tells me my effective range.

The problem is you all live where it's hot and you have to have air conditioning. It is a nice cool 89 here and feels like 86 right now and storm clouds moving in to cool it off even more.

The only point of the arraignment is to have the charges read against you and enter a plea of guilty or not guilty, conditions of release or bond.

That is because somebody lost their cell phone with all the marked waypoints.

My dream hunt would be cougars in the bar but the wife won't let me put in for it.

Research the dates. I was talking about the fourth picture that says the picture was taken at 3:48 am on a new moon. Sure looks like a daylight picture to me.

I think it is white charcoal on a black background. Watching HUSH on Youtube they basically did the same thing with the Fire bull Eric killed. I think it might be the same artist. He does cool work.

Maybe he ran out of popcorn?

Powder Vs. Pellets
Red Sparky replied to Alpinebullwinkle's topic in Muzzleloader hunting for Coues Deer
I think the problem with caps and pellet ignition is the pellets are suppose to go in one way. One end is darker and is like using ffffg in the pan of a flint lock. Saw a guy one time at the range and his rifle would not go off with caps and pellets. Had the range officer call a cease fire so we could deal with it. We pulled the nipple and I put about 2 grains of Pyrex P in and put the nipple back on, this was a inline nipple system and not 209. Little bit of a hang fire but it did go off. After he started paying attention to the pellets he never had a fail to fire or hang fire the rest of the session. -
Here is one my older daughter got today from the same artist as my wife and I.
