My dad, uncle, brother and my uncles friend went quail hunting in las cruces nm the day after Christmas. We weren't expecting snow because it never snows out there so we didn't have the proper attire . The dogs hunted hard and found us a few birds but unfortunately we couldn't shot to save our lives for some reason. No birds to hand but a few good pics.

Thanks guys. I wish I could take credit for them but I'm terrible about remembering to take pictures. My brother took these.

Funny, I went yote calling a few weeks ago and called 1 in but didn't get a shot. After not calling another one in for a few hours I took the buck shot out and put in some bird shot and went to find some birds. Kicked up a covey and only shot once. But hey atleast I dropped a bird.

This is a good thread, thanks guys. I too want to get into waterfowl hunting and don't know how to start. I have decoys, shotgun, etc. I just don't know where to go or start. This thread helped. Appreciate it.
