By the way,if you think the price of the dog itself is expensive just wait till you start buying training supplies and other crap for the dog. -

It all depends on how you want to train your dog. They are e collars not shock collars. I was told not to get one that does both but I think that was because its not allowed in dog trials. Garmin is the way to go. The best one is probably the Garmin tritronics 550 but it's not cheap. The Garmin sport pro would be a good e collar to get and when you are ready for a gps collar get the Garmin Astro. -

Dude I wasn't trying to kill your dreams. Just suggesting to think about it. It's not easy getting rid of a family pet.It is all good didn't take away a dream just postponed it my wife got them for the kids and when the fluffy cuteness was gone so was the kids interest and i never got attached to them. But in time i will get a Brittany and bond with it like no other.I hear you. Tell your wife she can get rid of the dogs because she is the one that got them for the kids. Lol. See if you can get your Brittany and keep the other dogs. -

I don't know if a good breeder would want to sell you a puppy if they heard you got rid of one of your pets to make room for another one. I know how badly you want a birddog but maybe you wait till you and your family are ready. -
I'm happy for the kid! Bro you need a bigger trophy room.

Thanks I will definitely let you know I don't know where to start or what is a going price for a Brittany. I just know I hunt alone a lot and a dog would be a good companion Jones Brit reminded of my Springer i had for 18 yearsGoing rate depends on if you go with a backyard breeder or a reputable breeder. I've seen them go from $600 to $1500. There is a breeder in showlow that tries to sell their britts for $1400! Don't go with them. PM me for the name of them. K Nine bird dogs who I work with closely has great dogs and is very helpful with training. I know a few guys on this forum can back me on that. There are a few other breeders I can recommend once you decided on what to do. Male or female It's all your preference. -

Get a puppy. The best training is exposure. Find a friend that has a bird dog and take your dog with them. Get the dog in the field period. I recommend a Brittany however there are plenty of breeds to choose from. Do your homework on the breed, the breeder, and training techniques. Yes bird dogs have lots of energy however I Find Brittanys (at least the ones that I know) know to turn it off in the house. Good luck. If you have any questions PM any of us that have bird dogs. We will try and help. Talk to Jones he will help. And of course if you need a Brittany I can point you in the right direction. -
Dude!! That was awesome. I was watching him get bummed that his number wasn't getting called. I was hoping he would be the last one. When we said didn't have any more bags you can see him get sad. I was stoked for him. It took everyone a while to realize he won the shotgun. If you decide to sell that thing let me know. Nice meeting you and your family. Banquet was a success. Oh im thinkin he is gonna have me get his name engraved on it! after it all settles in with him i will ask if he wants to trade it for a 410 870 but im betting this will just have to sit for couple yrs. l.o.l. heck i have won hunts, swarovskis, coolers, bows, etc but never a gun.. Good thing he wore his lucky shirt We all told him that his shirt was gonna help him.

Will it let me have free range of my arms and will it help me to shoot better It hasn't helped me shoot any better. I'd buy 3 if it did that. -
I got my Mearns mounts back. Both these birds got hit pretty hard but jones taxidermy was able to save them and did a great job on the mount. I'm happy with the way they came back. I highly recommend Jones Wildlife Taxidermy.
