I've been using the Kifaru packs since they started selling them in 1997 and that's all I use. I absolutely love their packs! My sons, who were just little kids back then are now using them, as well as all of their friends. I'm 6'4" and have an older Duplex frame with the new Fulcrum bag and love this setup! Even at my age I can still pack over 80 lbs. for miles using this setup. I highly recommend them!!! Scott

Aug. hunt, How are you pursuing the grey ghost?

I love to see the ole Kifaru being put to work!! -
I've been using Kifaru packs for 20 years! I got my first one in 1997, a Longhunter it was pack number 11. My sons and all of their friends use them as well. I also have a Fulcrum on order and I'm looking forward to getting that one out in the field. You definitely won't regret your decision. People can't believe the weight I carry but it's only because I'm carrying it in a Kifaru, extremely comfortable even with a lot of weight. Scott

Darn Tough are the best I've worn!! I also wear them to work, to work out in and hunt and backpack. Great socks, huge selection and a lifetime warranty. You won't be disappointed! Scott

backpacking tents.... what are you guys using?
ScottAdams replied to 1denogean's topic in Other Hunting Gear
I have an old Kifaru 4 man tipi and stove that's gotta be close to 20 years old! My sons and I still use it on our cold weather backpack hunts. Scott -
Last week I received the new Swarovski ME 1.7x Magnification Extender that is available for the Swarovski TX series modular spotting scopes. Used on my Swarovski STX 95mm spotter it creates a super 120x spotting scope! The thing is pretty amazing! I sat on my patio with it one afternoon last week and looked at some distant mountains through the forest fire haze. I was very impressed with it. the pictures posted below were taken through the scope using my Galaxy S6 cell phone with the Phone Skope adapter. The pictures aren't as clear as what you actually see. The photos of the juniper hillside and the power line tower, are about 3 miles out, and the photo of the bluff is about 5 miles out. It's pretty amazing. Still waiting on the BTX to come in. Scott

Helinox Chair for Glassing?
ScottAdams replied to Red Rabbit's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
I do have an eye patch but didn't bring it with me on that pack trip. Just for the record, I'm not a big fan of spotting scopes and generally only use them to get a closer look at something I've already spotted with the binoculars. Scott -
Helinox Chair for Glassing?
ScottAdams replied to Red Rabbit's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Doug, I have the Zero Helinox chair and absolutely love it. However I love it more for just a comfortable place to sit after a long backpack hike than for glassing. I have used it glassing as pictured below but as was mentioned above, the chair does have leaned back rake to it and I'm not used to that. The chair is extremely strong and lightweight, and sets up in seconds. Heck on a windy day you could probably tie a string on it and fly it like a kite! For me the real value is for backpacking and having something to sit in and lean back after a 5 or 10 mile hike. To me it's the greatest thing since sliced bread for that purpose and worth it's weight in gold. Scott -
Looks Great!!!!

I'm selling my trusty 30x80 Docter binoculars. They've served me well for years. I still use them on hunts but I'm going to upgrade to the new Swarov BTX's. These still have a lot of life left in them. I'm selling the whole package which includes the Bogen Tripod and Head, Factory Hard Case and homemade Softcase. Everything you need to start hunting with them. You can message me here or call/text me at 928-651-3908. Scott Along with the pictures, I've added a review I did on them when I first got them. I bought a little Nextbook 9 from Walmart for $79. I have a little adapter I plug in and download the SD cards then I format the cards and install back into the camera, The 9 inch screen is a good size for viewing the pictures in the field and the little Nextbook is small and compact.

Alaska Guide Creations Bino Harness...
ScottAdams replied to PelaPapas's topic in Optics and tripods
I've used his cases for years, going back to the 90's under a different name. My sons and I love them. Anytime we go out we have those cases. We load them up with everything. Most of my son's friends use them as well. Jaret is a great guy! -
