I think Andy has some great advice. I personally like the trail runners that Nike produces. I consisently find myself picking these year after year due in most part to the great cushion they have in the heels.

Way to go Scotty!! I really wish I could have been there but I guess it just wasn't to be. Good job on ferreting a darn good bull out of the timber during a really tough year!! Congratulations!!

Way to go on a fine buck!! Not many have taken a Coues buck with a bow at your age. A true accomplishment! Congratulations!!

Here's the photos of my boy's bull. We rough scored it around 350. It's a 7x8 and he shot it at 30 yards with his bow in unit 27. We were camped with my cousin Duwane and these are some of the other bulls from our camp.

Simon, James killed a real nice bull in the 350 range. I'll post some photos tonight. Austin had some opportunities at some huge bulls but it just didn't come together for him. The rut really started up strong around Sunday the 20th.

I pulled these off one of the cameras today. That nontypical has really come along since last month. Here is what he looked like last month. Here he is this month (Aug 21)!! Man did he put on some horn!!! Pretty Impressive!! These are a few of the other bucks in this area. This trailcamming can get addicting!!

Yea I thought that one was pretty cool also so I threw it in the mix.

I'm speechless!!!!

I finally was able to get the big buck that I saw last December, on my trail camera. He's looking pretty good!! Here is a photo from December of this buck followed by one from last week. I also picked up the usual bears. We even ran into this rattlesnake on the way out.

I plan on rifle hunting this buck. Last year he had a kicker off of his left G-2. I was using salt. I think the second bear is Kong! I was glad to finally get him on camera. It's good to know that he's survived in this lion infested area.

These mule deer were around the house this morning. I have a Queensland Heeler that's supposed to keep the deer from eating my trees, he was no where around. I took most of these from the kitchen window. Archery season starts Friday!!

I went and retrieved the card on one of my cameras that's been out for 2 months. Unfortunately the card filled up at 904 pictures and my last picture was July 17. I have a nontypical that showed up, my first since I started trailcamming, and I'm really curious as to how he turns out. This buck came in and was not happy to find a bunch of carp deer on "his" salt!! This looks like a nice big buck, maybe the big typical we've been after for the last two years. Here's the nontypical. The first photo is from July 3 and the last 3 are 14 days later. It's amazing how fast those horns grow!

I haven't checked the "Kong" camera lately. Hope to check it this week.
