tekoamountainsetters.com is a where I was told by Guy Mollicone of Mollicone Kennels he trains a ton of setters and that is who he said he would reach out to. He says they're great field dogs.

Reach out to Arizona NSTRA there are several guys that run English Setters in that club and that can point you in the right direction. I sent a text off to a couple pro trainer friends of mine and will let you know if they know anyone. Finding an Irish Setter anymore out here is a little harder.

The brain is the size of a heart and the skull is rounded. Which leads to a lot of deflections unlike shooting a thin skulled animal with a .22. In other words its easier and safer bet to shoot for the boiler room.

Bergers FAILED me horribly
Upland81 replied to joelpresmyk8's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I shoot barnes mle 150gr 59gr h414 win case and rem primers in a factory Remington 700 adl with an HS stock. I get 3050fps out of it at 70 degrees and have shot a feral pig at 15 feet in the head went down the spine and stayed intact. I also killed a small mule deer at just over 500 yards and it expanded. So I know 100% these bullets wont blow and I get sub MOA if I keep the copper out of the bbl with boretech cleaner. I don't worry about B.C. as long as it's over .300 because dead animals don't really care either. -
He will remember that for life very cool.

Has anyone else considered that maybe AZGF just enjoys seeing these posts and are sitting back laughing. Or maybe it's because the people who are posting didn't get hit and the people who just check this page before checking their cards are the ones who really got hit..... Or it could be a complete mess like the spring draw heck I didn't get my card hit for my turkey tag for 2 months after I got it in the mail.....

I have 9 long years of waiting until my son can put in for elk or deer and can't wait!!!

I remember about 5 years ago shooting the breeze with a guy and his wife saying if you want to see something inmature listen to hunters talk about each other. If people spent 20 percent of their time focusing on themselves and not what an "ameture" has to say mental health would be less of an issue. I get tired of seeing people label other hunters as "amertures". It's the same way I feel about B&C and P&Y

I still think the weather conditions this year played a large role in the migratory patterns of the elk which will reduce the amount of sheds people find in their stomping grounds. I doubt it's 100% the "douche bags" on quads that are causing low counts from people. I mean this law is pretty new in some areas like in unit 9 and friends of mine who will faithfully go to 9 every year are having a hard time this year. These guys would kill it up there in the late 90s and early 2000s and now find maybe 5 or 6 browns over a few days. I also think that this is becoming a bigger hobby each year and there are less and less guys like me who only shed hunt mid day during turkey season. Plus people see this as an "easy" way to make money so you have more boots on the ground. However I do understand how it feels to see quads in places they don't belong it happens to my dog and I every time we hunt gambles. We will see guys running pointers while driving their UTVs up washes so no we just hunt deep in or wait for mearns.

Doesn't the national forest consider it littering if a blind/tent is left out for a period of time either 14 or 21 days. It does suck I've had 2 cameras stolen over the years and now I live by a rule which is don't leave anything of any value in the forest. If it has value someone is going to take it thinking its abandoned or just being a jerk either way it wont be there when you come back.

High Country Guns and knives in Prescott almost always has mags for these pistols great guns. -
Twist is hardly ever the issue with any .30 cal rifle they're extremely forgiving but issues with seating depth are more than likely the problem. I am sure any of the bullets you listed will be good choices. Even though you have a good load at 180 with a primer I still would pick a bullet and work with different powder primer combos and seating depth. If you compare the nosler book to steves page which is pretty much the sierra book one lists federals the other lists winchester with the 200gr bullet. The fun part of loading is test loads.

Go to AZPDC.Org there are several guys in the club like myself that train themselves and there are pro trainers willing to give tips. The hunter class is focused around training a dog and having nothing but fun. At the trials you can also meet up with people who train on the east valley or people looking to add people to their training group. If you look under the events tab on the left hand side you will see the trials. We just did a training day at the club level earlier this month and will normally do one in the fall. Some of the pro trainers will let you train with them for no cost. If you guys cannot make the trial come to a meeting its a good place to meet new people. If you ever have any questions shoot me a PM. Six months is a good age to start working a pup. -

Run in hunter class it is a lot of fun plus there are a lot of guys out there to help give tips. KNine does a great job with American Brittanies they always place high in NSTRA. -

We have our anual awards banquet this weekend in Scottsdale and the next meeting is on the second Tuesday of April. I have two buddies that have puppies from one of Eddie & Chrissy's litters last year both are great dogs. They have them both holding steady and retrieving really well at a year old which is pretty darn good. -

I got hit a few years ago for deer something like a week after the cards started getting hit. It was for my second choice and the tag number was for the middle of the range like 200 out of 350. It might be quicker now that the process is no longer new.

I've been using my TT10 for a while now it's great. Running a French Brittany in thick cover makes it easy to loose them when they're on point but this takes the guess work out of it.

I am not sure if this post suppose to be taken as serious as it has been however it sure did make me laugh.
