Rattlesnake avoidance training
Upland81 replied to Tres's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
Both my girls have been through this it is way better than the vaccine IMHO. My 8yr dog got rechecked in October and it had been 5 years since she went through this initially and the training stuck. -
Bruno's has been on the higher end since the last shortage to begin with this doesn't shock me. I bought primers in the fall at a shop in Tucson that had price tags over price tags showing they doubled their primer cost.

It's the government so they spend 12 million to generate that 3 million I am sure.

You know Arizona/New Mexico is in almost every upland magazine every month. I currently live in Vail and you will see trucks with dog boxes all the from Dec-Feb with out of state plates coming to hunt here. AZ also has two very popular NSTRA clubs as well. Bird hunting is a big deal in AZ just as in Illinois where I grew up as well. I might be a big game hunter on a big game form but I identify as a bird hunter more so. Tres is your dog from Arlette and Steve?

I am not a Berger fan myself either. I think they are a great bullet and accurate but in a lot of cases they are used to make a cartridge something it was never designed for. I rather go with other choices for less money. Yet this is the good old fashion ford, chevy, toyota debate.

Look at the age of the 6mm if it's an old 600 it wont shoot the heavy bullets but the newer 6mms have a1:10 twist. I load a 85gr speer with 45gr imr4350 and have killed 2 wt and 3 mule deer none of them complained. I am also getting sub moa. I have also killed one buck with tipped triple shock in 80 or 85gr I am not sure which one is tipped and which one is not. I would caution you on small bonded bullets they don't leave great exit wounds in result leaving little to no blood trail. That is why I switched to a conventional bullet and have not had a jacket failure issue like some would be concerned with on a bullet going 3360. End of the day pick what shoots well and use it but know the limitations of the bullet.

Awesome I have a friend in Mesa Mike Fisher that breeds them. They are great dogs. I personally like little dogs hints the French Brittany.

Not much better than a bird dog. If you're new to it take a look at AZPDC their website is easy AZPDC.org or look into NAVHDA both are great places to meet up with people who can help you train!
