GreyGhost, not sure if you are aware of the factory Winchester recoil pads on this model. It is specific to this model and does the exact opposite as it enhances the value to have it. A lot of people have replaced the recoil pads and that takes value away from the gun. The integrity of this gun is in tact in every way. Please in the future make sure what you post is accurate as to not run off a potential buyer. See the last line in the notes of the picture I posted with the Blue Book of Gun Values. I own a couple pre-64 featherweights with the steel butt pads and was under the assumption that they had to be modified after market to accept the better, rubber kick pads. You won’t have a problem getting you are asking. It is a fair price for a rare and extremely desirable rifle, especially with the recent hype of the 6.5 caliber. The .264 win was really ahead of it’s time. Good to see people finally appreciating it again. Thank you for the apology. There is so much info about Model 70's and changes in models that it's hard to keep track of. Like you I have a 1952 .308 Featherweight that was purchased new for $135.00 handed down to me and it has the original aluminum butt plate and a 22" barrel. My nephew has killed a couple elk with it. It's a great shooting gun and just a really nice gift. I bought this 264 quite a while back and it was just to pretty to pass up. I never shot it which is a crime but oh well. Happy Hunting, Dave

Levers, I didn't think there was a 26" featherweight in a 264 win mag. only 22" from what I've read. I believe the 26" was the standard model 70. Do you have data that says different. The other westerner featherweight was the 358 which had a 26" barrel. I've been to many gun shows and as far as value it is always based on condition vs barrel length. Have you found that to be different as well. I'm not a model 70 historian, so asking for information more than anything.

Yotebuster, it's original. Featherweights had the 22in and the winchester recoil pad. Here's a little more info. According to "The Rifleman's Rifle" only 3,116 Featherweight Westerner rifles were manufactured pre-64. This makes it only slightly more common than a standard Featherweight in .358 Win. (2,000 manufactured) and significantly more rare than the second most rare standard Featherweight in .270 W.C.F. (22,992 manufactured). This example was manufactured in 1962 and has standard Winchester markings including the factory oval proof on the left side of the barrel and receiver at the breech, hooded ramp and adjustable folding leaf sights, polished bolt numbered to gun, hollow bolt handle knob, late safety and sling swivels. The high comb, checkered pistol grip stock is fitted with a vented Winchester recoil pad with black and white spacers.

Excellent condition 1 of 2500 made in 1984. Only year Lew Horton did this version. It's a 357 Mag with a 2 1/2" barrel. Great as a collector or a sidearm. $1100.00

Dennis, I'm not sure if it does or not. I know you can put as big a micro SD card as you want for extra storage. Might be worth a call to Garmin Customer Service and ask them if that is compatible.

6A, 8, 35b and a couple others. They are not secret spots, just will save some time inputting them off google earth.

It also has quite a few waypoints marking water tanks and trick tanks that I will leave on there for the buyer. What a bonus!
