Bcoover, I haven't forgotten about you. All the guys I have spoken with so far hunted Unit "D". I know a guy that has bear hunted that res for a long time. He should know some spots in C. Just taking a while to track him down...

Matty, Longshooter is the last guy to take anything seriously (except his love for guys. But not that there's anything wrong with that). He just hasn't figured out how to use the little smiley things to show he's joking. He's a peach. As far as your Diamond, they do make a great bow. Archerytalk.com just completed their annual "Compound Bow Face-Off" and the Black Ice took 2nd place out of 23 bows. (That new fangled, soon to be out of production, more of a gimmick than performance, Guardian took 1st ) Check it out: http://www.archerytalk.com/vb/showthread.php?t=509567 It's a pdf so you'll need acrobat to view it. It's a good read.

Crazy is right. A little angry, but right. You put just about any company's flagship bow in a top shooter's hands nowadays and it will win. Crazy$COUES, send Longshooter a PM. If you're into "that kinda thing", he'll come over and "massage" all your anger away... so I've heard. When someones hummingbird mouth overruns there alligator a$$ it makes me angry. That is not what this board is about. As far as the massage I will have to pass. You must have recieved a proposition or two...or once again are you letting that humming bird mouth run on. Don't get me wrong Crazy, I'm on your side. And as far as Longshooter, well, I don't blame you. Better offers wouldn't be hard to come by. Any offers sent my way will be refused; no hummingbird mouth here (although Longshooter will probably be on here anytime to showcase his). And I agree matty, shooting spots all day = gay.

You're absolutely correct because it's patented. As is the Martin Shoot thru. The Limb Pivot idea was actually on an earlier bow, but the technology wasn't there to make it work (1987). After that patent expired (20 years), Bowtech picked up the design and ran with it. The Martin Shoot thru is nice because it eliminates cam lean since there is no cable guard. This improves nock travel and the overall accuracy of the bow. Which is why you find it mostly on target models. But no other bow maker can touch it. People poo poo'd the binary cam design for a while too (darton patent i think) but it's becoming increasingly popular with other manufacturer's. With the attention the Guardian/Commander are getting this year, I'm betting they will be around for a long while. Shoot one Matty, they really are good bows. Kevin, rumor has it those Gaurdians are the official bow of the "2007 Las Vegas Gay Pride Archery Shoot" You would know... aren't you the guest speaker for the event? Not that there's anything wrong with that I saw an SUV w/ a CW.COM sticker outlined with a rainbow the other day. Which one of you was it? Tell the truth. lmfao........Thats Kevin for sure since he has the SUV Wrong again Bear, I'm driving the Dodge diesel now. All that male abuse you've taken over the years has clouded your memory

I haven't hunted it in a long time, but i have some friends that hunted it a few years ago. What area is your tag? I'll see if they hunted the same area and get you some info.

Is that a testament to quality or to who is willing to hand out the most sponsorships in order to get their name to the top. Archery is just as comercialized as nascar and so you see the same results - those w/ the deepest pockets are usually standing at the top. Mathews & Hoyt both make great equipment, but I still can't wait to get my Diamond. Very true.

Well, Longshooter called me and told me that Amanda had posted pics of my deer so I thought I'd share a few more. First off I just want to say how blessed I feel to have even seen a deer like this, let alone harvest him. He is truly the buck of several lifetimes. His right side scores 81" all by itself, he's basically a 120" 3 point frame with 30" of trash. And I'd also of course like to thank Rio Sonora Outfitters. Those guys know their stuff, and Brad runs a top notch operation. I finally found some guys that are bigger Coues fanatics than myself! And last but not least, my dad for teaching me everything I know and making this all possible. Amanda already posted the story of the hunt, so i won't do that all over again here. However, we were able to catch the kill shot on video and i believe Brad is going to make a DVD of the hunt with some of the other big bucks he has taken over the years so look for that sometime soon. Thanks again guys!

You should be able to shoot them from camp with that rig, Congrats! I have a few friends who have one of those and they have had great groups out to 1000 yards with them. One is an elk guide here in Nevada and he had two clients kill elk at over 800 yards with it .

Unhappy with my new coues mount

Bowsniper, I have to agree with you on this one. It looks weird to me as well. The bottom line is if YOU aren't happy with it, tell your taxidermist and have him fix it. He should be able to if he's as respected as you say. But NICE buck by the way. -

Pretty obvious that you haven't shot one then. That center pivot design will be around for some time.

That's a donkey for sure

Great buck, and finds! Those 2nd's are insane. Good luck on finding this year's drops!

First pig for son of bowsniper

Nice work Troy!!! Congrats on a great hunt! And you have it on video for forever, very cool. Good luck on your turkey hunt! -
You know, i shot one and i wasn't all that impressed. I don't know, it just seemed average to me. The noise and vibration were ok, but it was definitely there. Pretty smooth draw. I shot it right after a Switchback, Drenaline, and a Guardian so maybe they spoiled me. Hoyt makes a great product so I'm sure it's a good bow, it just didn't flip my switch i guess. my 2 cents anyways.
-
Drenaline is a very nice bow. After shooting that and the XT back to back, i liked the XT better. But that's just me. Better hold and shot a little smoother. The only negative i have heard about the Drenaline is that the limbs can crack IF the bow is not pressed properly. But that's true with most of the newer bows anyways. Alot of people really like that bow.

Hunterdude, don't worry fanboy up there Still waiting on that video by the way CnS... I just bought a Bowtech Guardian and it's the best bow I've ever owned. Once i get all the bling on it, I'll post some pics. I don't know anything about Parker however.

Yeah, i saw that video on archerytalk.com. Very interesting to say the least. However, wish they would have compared it to other "speed" bows, instead of the "popular" bows they chose. I could have told you what was going to happen with the ballistic gelatin test before it even happened. The sound test I found very interesting, although they took the stock sting silencers off of the guardian. The Drenaline has silencers built in, but they left them on since they weren't on the string . And it really didn't shock me that Nathan was able to shoot the bow well. He should be able to shoot anything well. Instead of putting the president behind the string, i would have like to seen Nathan shoot the other bows at those same distances to see what differences there were (if any). But all in all, PSE may have a winner here. That kind of speed hasn't ever been produced before without some sort of trade-off. I just wish there was a place in Vegas to shoot one.
