I'm hoping so... I'll keep everyone posted. Longshooter, your memory is terrible. You shot cats, I shot rabbits... and we used .22's . Although i do hope this caller and my .17 make a good cat set-up...just ones with spots
-
Definitely. Next time you come up, we'll take it and the .17 out bro. I might even let you shoot her Clint, I'll never remember them all; he gave me 55 of them. Some of the ones that he said were typically overlooked or surprised me was fox distress (very overlooked for 'yotes), several kinds of bird distress (for everything, but especially for lions of all things), dog howl (domestic dog), siren (like a fire truck - as a locater, never heard of using that) and a few others i don't remember. Plus all the regulars - rabbit distress, fawn distress, etc. If you'd like i can write 'em all down when i get the unit. I told him i wanted to call coyotes, bobcats, lions, crows, and also have a couple deer calls (grunt, bleat, rattle). He said he was pretty proud of what we came up with. That guy helped a ton.

Going downhill or not, that is a great buck. Sorry you didn't get to stick an arrow in him Tyson, but i hope he's still around for you next year. And that tumor on his face is crazy - that thing's huge! Anyone have a good idea what it could be? How long has he had that Tyson? Alot of character on that deer. Good luck to you next year man, I hope he makes it. Kevin

send me your personal email I'll gladly send you a pic but I would rather not post it because it is not my buck No problem. PM sent!

By the way... Got any pics of that 130" buck???

Awesome, awesome sheds man. Congrats on the finds, those don't come easy. Got any tips you want to share
-
No writer my a$$, great story man! The time you put into that deer and the cam pics you have 2 minutes before the shot and immediately after, man that's something special. That buck is a brute. Congrats on a truly well earned trophy. Just awesome man. Huge congrats to you

With all the great advice about the electronic callers, I'm hyped about getting one and start hunting! But i also wanted to get a couple good predator videos as well. Have any favorites? I'm more looking for something that has information on tactics, set-up, etc, rather than just an hour of kill shots. (alright, maybe a few kill shots ) Even a favorite brand to try would help. I'm looking at concentrating on coyotes (of course) but would like to get a few bobcats as well so something that has one or the other or both would be great. Thanks guys. Hope all your hunts go well, Kevin

Predator Hunting Videos???

I plan on doing some of that as well. But a little help never hurt. Absolutely. I've heard some good things about those on other sites. -
Great buck! Welcome to the site

Pedro, That is a great decision. You will be glad you waited and saved with either the Swarovski or the Leicas - both are very good.

Wish i had the funds - or the need. That is a smoking deal. There's been some crazy deals on some really good rifles on here lately.

Yeah i saw those pics a while back. I never did hear a score, although i was told Colorado as well. Definitely a ranch/high fence bull - for whatever reason they always seem to have pale antlers and rarely rub all their velvet off. Thanks for the pics though

Best electronic caller???
Coues Sniper replied to Coues Sniper's topic in Predator Hunting and Trapping
That helps a lot. Thank you AzTrapper! -
I'm breaking down and buying a good caller and getting more into predator hunting. We can hunt coyotes, foxes, and cats year round up here in NV so i plan on doing that till it gets too hot. By then it will be time to start shooting the bow more for archery deer season. Which will bring me back to the fall and my favorite time of the year: Coues season. Can't wait already. I'm also pretty excited as we are getting a Sportsman's Warehouse up here (the first in town) literally 2 minutes from my house. We don't have much for hunting stores up here besides an understocked Bass Pro Shops . I'm actually thinking of getting a job there on the weekends just for the discount.

For the Guy Who Has Everything
Coues Sniper replied to Outdoor Writer's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
That's pretty good. I have been looking at getting an electronic caller, and I noticed one of the sounds you can choose from Foxpro is called "Corn Feeder" Wonder if that guy is aware of that
