Several Nice Bucks

dang nice bucks man. Good luck on your hunt -
If people have figured out how to shoot bulls with roids and get results like this, then trophy hunting as we know it is over.

Yep, the Shipsy bull was 502 gross. But the San Carlos and surrounding area are famous for monster bulls. (I don't believe it was accepted into the book for some reason though? Does anyone know the story behind that?) Monroe traditionally isn't known as a monster bull unit. But heck, the biggest mule deer to come out of Nevada came from a county that only has one deer in the books. It happens to be the #4 nontypical in the world though Doug, a guy i know up there (and very much value his opinion) told me this bull was a 370 type bull last year with splits off his 4's. Which means he put on 130" of bone in a single year. I have a hard time believing that one as well. I guess it's possible, but i don't know... I guess I have my doubts too.

Well, if anyone deserves a plug from me, it's Brad Fulk. This guy is the real deal. Brad works extremely hard for his clients, and it shows. Between my father and I, we have killed 3 deer with Brad in the last 4 years and the smallest buck went 116 3/8" . He really wants all of his clients to leave with the buck of their dreams and spends the time to try and find them just that. Many Mexico outfitters will show up to the ranch with the hunters, ask the rancher and the cowboys where they saw some good bucks (if they even do that), and start hunting. Brad actually spends time scouting before season and putting up trail cameras etc., to try and locate the biggest bucks on the ranch BEFORE the hunt starts. And his guides are top notch as well. Several of them have killed 110+ plus bucks in AZ (one was 120+) so they know how to hunt Coues and are excellent at putting a score together on a buck you are trying to decide to shoot or not (one of them pulled my head squarely out of my butt last year ) . He also picked up a couple promising ranches near Hermosillo for this year that have produced some whopper mule deer and Coues deer. If you're looking for a good hunt with some great guys and a good chance at a monster buck, definitely give Brad a call.

A 525 lb lion = about 400 lbs of BS

Sweet. Just remember I was one of the few that agreed with you on the score

Don't tell me Scotty is about to add a big ol' sheep to his already staggering trophy collection Good luck to you if so -
Taxidermy is one area where you just cannot afford to "take a chance". Sorry you may have had to find this out the hard way. Good taxidermy work takes a real artist. heck, some taxidermists can do a particular species really well, and another just average. Post some pictures of your deer, and you'll get plenty of opinions, but the bottom line is if you aren't happy then that's all that matters.

Seems like it might have some merit to me. http://optifade.com/ Sitka and GoreTex are both pretty respectable companies IMO. I'd like to see it first hand.

Got video of a pretty good buck. Planning on trying to kill him during rifle. He's got a pretty good pattern as he's usually in the same small area. Fairly certain i could get him killed without the aid of any electronic devices as well. Would like to hear guesses on score. http://link.brightcove.com/services/link/b...bctid1753274331 Kevin

Pretty good buck

I'd bet it'd be a crap load more than 20k to kill that thing. They claim he's only 2 years old My guess is that buck will have a long luxurious life "filling straws" and those guys make a killing off of selling his genetics. A KILLING. It's crazy how big of a market those high fence "hunts" are. I don't have a problem with guys who do it, just not my thing. But they are fun to look at and drool over. -
How many rounds down the tube? How much does she weigh scoped?
-
Couple great goats for sure. What scores did you come up with? Smoker bucks no matter what. Congrats.
-
Saw this on MM as well and they are all saying the same thing there also; 340-360. I think you are right on with your score Christian. His 5ths make up for a lot.

Gun permits are $250, and you can put 2 guns on a permit.

Holy crap Unreal. Huge congrats on a one in a million buck.

A friend of mine has been wanting a GSP for a while so i sent him the link to these guys. He just happened to be going through that part of AZ last week so he stopped and checked them out. He was pretty impressed! Said all pups were retrieving and pointing well already. He still has to convince the wife however

Well, I'll be the first to leave Casey's ugly mug out of this and give a little plug for Jimmy and the boys Last year Longshooter had a unit 10 elk tag, but didn't have much time to scout. I came down from Vegas to help glass but all the spots I knew were on the Boquillas (sp?) as i had a tag there before, but before all the crap went down. Well we only had 2 days to hunt and got skunked on the first day. 2nd day we ran into Jimmy and Craig at a gas station. Longshooter and I introduced ourselves and told them that we didn't see an elk the first day. Well Jim told of us a spot (not a general vicinity, a spot) he almost always sees elk and killed a 350+ bull the year before. About 2 hours after getting to the spot he told us about we were gutting Longshooters first bull. Not a monster, but he was happy. Not many guides would have done that. Thanks again Jim, I hope I can one day return the favor. Kevin
