One of the biggest small things that has helped me, is to time my squeeze with my exhale. The heartbeat thing never bothered me much. As Casey said, its all about consistency.

A hunt i will never forget!
Coues Sniper replied to Coues_Freak's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
wow man nice job so cool that you were able to kill a big buck on the same hunt as your dad that's like a dream deal right there for anybody I'm glad you don't use punctuation either because that stuff is so overrated haha congrats again on 2 really nice bucks thanks for sharing the pics and story I really enjoyed reading it -
Kuiu raingear is excellent. But it IS raingear and is not silent. Having said that, I've yet to see any raingear that was high end AND quiet. Bottom line, its about as noisy as most raingear, but I doubt you'll want to return it.

Daughters first hunt and successful one at that!
Coues Sniper replied to WACem44's topic in Youth Hunters
Great stuff WACem, congrats -
There was a bull in Nevada we chased that was a giant 5x5. The year my dad had the tag his sheds went 405. We saw him once that year during season but couldn't get it done. He was killed a few years later when he was going downhill, went 380ish. 31" 3rds. They did a Kings calendar with his 405 sheds.

Funny how many think their opinion actually matters, just because they can see it on a website. Glad to see this thread finally turning back to what it should be - admiration of an incredible Coues deer. Brandon, thanks for voicing your side of the story and helping to quell the nonsense. Congrats again on an amazing buck.

Arizona Auction Gould's Turkey Hunt with Casey Brooks
Coues Sniper replied to Jay Scott's topic in Jay Scott Outdoors/Colburn and Scott Outfitters
Huh? Guy gets excited about killing a nice Goulds and says awesome a few times and it detracts from the video? Not in the least IMO. Nice work Jay. Cool to see guys get worked up. -
Climbing Arrow Ranch Elk Hunt 2014 with Jason Hairston of KUIU
Coues Sniper replied to Jay Scott's topic in Jay Scott Outdoors/Colburn and Scott Outfitters
Absolutely awesome Jay. As others have said - some of the best footage I've seen, especially the close encounters. Looks like a trip of a lifetime, capped off by a gorgeous bull. Neat that you guys had a brief encounter with him before. Really really enjoyed that, thanks for sharing. -
