Slammer buck DB, pin a tag on that pig. Good to see you back

I've been told they're not so great on sunny days (glare). Notice it's overcast in all those pics. The walls are angled down to help out on the glare some, but it can still be pretty bad.

+1 on the Delta. Great bass fishing. Bring some black buzzbaits - trust me. Buddy of mine was fishing there a few years back and hooked into a 48lb striper while flipping . Try sticking a fresh one of those with about 15' of line out...

Soloution to carry your Range Finder
Coues Sniper replied to stalkincoues's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
Not to jump on ya Gary , but i didn't see anything about rangefinders in that either: "By the use of electronic devices for attracting, locating or pursuing game or guiding the hunter to such game, or by the use of a bow or arrow to which any electronic device is attached." Rangefinders in no way attract, locate, or guide a hunter to the animal, so unless the Rangefinder is attached to the bow, I read that as saying they are legal. -

+1 on what elkaholic said. I think Roughcut may be confusing rangefinders with radios. At any rate, like the idea Christian. I'm thinking I'll be picking up a few. I've always wanted something to keep my GPS handy as well, this may be the ticket. And the price is right. Nice work -
wow . That is a STUD

JLG, I hope your primers come in soon. However, I had some Nosler 300 Rum brass on backorder with Cabelas for 11 months before i found some on Midway and cancelled my order. And their "expected backorder time" was always between 1 and 3 weeks . My advice is to keep the Cabelas backorder and do the email reminder thing on Midway and see who gets them first.

Been brought to my attention...

Atta boy Casey, awesome work. Congratulations my friend -
Once again, Doug is all over it. Not saying you will have problems, but there is the possiblity, and a long action should take that out of the equation.
-
A short action is lighter and of course shorter which is important to some. Short actions can only take short claibers (again pretty obvious). Long actions can take any caliber, but are a bit heavier. If you are going with a custom build and plan to shoot longrange, my advice would be to get a long action as you can use the longer better BC bullets without any issue. Using a short action on some calibers can cause serious problems with the more long range minded bullets. If you plan on only shooting factory ammo, you could likely use a short action without issue. What caliber are you planning on getting?

I've seen them, but never that close. You guys should go back. They won't leave that cow for long...

That's freaking cool. I like weird stuff like that

I've spent some limited time in 8 (had an elk tag one year, helped a buddy on a Coues tag the next), and have seen some good bucks, but I really had no idea how I would hunt them. The best buck I saw was probably 110", but all I saw of him was him racing away as I rode up to a tank on the wheeler. Thing let me drive right up on him and then bolted as soon as I saw him. All the Coues I saw were in THICK country. If you put in the time to pattern them you might do ok as they were all pocketed up, but that thick stuff makes it tricky. My buddy killed a small two point in a little honey hole we found that butted up to the canyon. We never saw a good buck in there, but he was just looking for anything with horns anyways. I'm sure there are some pigs in that unit that don't get messed with much, it would just take a lot of work and a bit of luck With 7 points though, I don't know. How big of a bull are you looking for?
-
psssch Whoopin Casey is like fish in a barrel. Also, i might be interested too. My wife mentioned she might like to take up archery the other day . Draw weight would be a concern however, she's 5' nothing and 100 lbs She'd still whoop Casey though

Absolutely, friggin awesome. What a great bull. Great beams, long thirds, and that split 4 on his right is sweet. Congrats

Pure copper bullets will foul more than non pure copper. Just keep an eye on it and use a good solvent and you'll be fine.
-
I agree, Tim! I can't figure out how to make sheds look as big as they are when I take pics.... I figured you would chime in and point that out.... the horn is a beast! I had to put a good tape on it this morning since my Bro-in-law wanted it back. I am glad it was here when you stopped by the other day and I have not heard anything about your Muzzy... yet. When you get you gun back I'll try to have Colton's big siderack with me. Can't imagine those pictures aren't doing it justice. Looks like a friggin giant to me; look at it compared to the Coke can!!! But I have a fetish for big 2 points anyways

Who cares how you score it or what number it gets, that's a STUD. Great find

GREAT video. Loved her reaction - that's what it's all about!
-
It's mandatory here in NV. I see no downside to it at all.

Are you Super Serial???
-
Exactly, they just charge more for putting there name on it plus they sprinkle crystal dust on it Not exactly. They will also service it. I got one as a gift, put it through the ringer for a few years, and had a problem with the head. Sent it to Swarovski and they serviced the head, replaced the feet, and cleaned her up for free. Nice tripod, might be my favorite one i own if it had a better head on it. Very steady/sturdy.

Wider or taller? Which is better?
Coues Sniper replied to swcouesfanatic's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Tall and narrow is my style .
