Discounted mule deer and coues deer hunt - Mexico
Coues Sniper replied to tylerwcs's topic in Classified Ads
+10000 Can't anybody read??? It was a group hunt and the group is canceling....that is why there are openings. And 6 openings a year would mean about 3 to 5 deer killed if you care what you're shooting. Not sure why everyone is poo pooing this deal. If you don't have anything nice to say... -
Discounted mule deer and coues deer hunt - Mexico

Have you guys priced Carp hunts down there recently? This range is not uncommon. Good luck with sale - some added pics might help you out... Plus I'd just like to see 'em. -
That's friggin crazy. Red hammer for me.

Ok, I'm curious, how much you would have? $1.50? You have to remember Josh, I grew up hunting with Larry Landgren... -

If I had a dollar for every time a buddy said "put the crosshairs on his penis..." GREAT buck man, congrats. -
Congrats on a great ram! Looks like a no-brainer to me. And besides being a heck of a guide, that ol' Harlow is a pretty dam good taxidermist

You don't need to post a picture to figure out how wide he is. As much as I would love to see a pic of the deer you are talking about, I would never post a picture of a deer on this site that is still alive. That's just crazy. Most people on here are respectable and will just wish you luck, but it only takes a one knucklehead to ruin it. A typical mature Coues buck's ears will be between 15" and 16" wide when relaxed. Use that as a guide and you'll be very close. And for what it's worth, the widest Coues in the books is 21" inside, and I personally saw a deer that was a solid 20 inside EASY. Absolutley zero exaggeration. He was just a typical 3x3, but was the craziest thing I ever saw. My only choice was a 1000 yard shot in 40 mph winds, or try to get REAL close. I thought the wind would give me a chance so I tried getting close. Wind swirled on me at 40 yards and he was gone. Never saw him again. Still haunts me. Good luck and post a pic when he's dead

Sitka Mountain Gear? Does anyone recommend it for Coues hunting
Coues Sniper replied to CouesSlayer77's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Another vote for Kuiu. Better than Sitka in my experience and cheaper. But CouesSlayer, I have a Sitka Jetstream jacket I would be willing to part with if you are interested. It has only been worn once on a 30 min quad ride. It's a great jacket, I just need the $ this time of year and I obviously don't wear it much. It's in perfect condition. Size is XL, but I normally wear a large. I can send pics if you're interested. -
Very Nice non typical Coues

Wow, what a great buck! Does he not have brow tines??? Need more pics! -
Oh wow. If I was only in the market. I had an 87 Jimmy and that thing would go ANYWHERE. Loved that rig - it was pretty much bulletproof, until I got hit by a tow truck that was doing 70 mph . I walked away, rig obviously did not. Smoking deal, someone snatch this up.

Use the lower jaws to compare ages. Great bucks

VERY DISAPPOINTED AND RATHER DISGUSTED
Coues Sniper replied to Shooter McGavin's topic in The Campfire
A good butcher is hard to find. However, most don't have the time to clean up your meat before they process, especially this time of year. Don't take this the wrong way, but if there was dirt and sticks in your meat, it wasn't because the butcher put it in there. It was left on the meat when you took it in there. If you take care of your meat, the butcher can tell and will do the same. If you bring in dirty meat, the butcher will assume you don't care and neither will he. At any rate, I'm sure someone on here could recommend another butcher to use in the future. -
