Feeding the Frenzy - Story update
Coues Sniper replied to Non-Typical Solutions's topic in Shed Hunting
I would be obsessed as well. That flyer is one in a million. Thanks for the updates, I always enjoy seeing how your pursuit of this deer is going. Going to be a bittersweet day when you put him down . -
That honeycomb rim pattern does seem like it could be a mud collector. Sure looks that way. Although, if there's any flex in the wheel itself it could be kinda "self cleaning". Very interested to see how they do. I'm sure there'll be some bugs with such a radical new design.

I bet those are spendy... but worth it.

Thanks guys Thanks Larry Thanks Jimmer. It wasn't where I wanted to live, but they did make it a no decision deal for me. I was with you until a couple weeks ago slim. Still can't believe I'm here. It's bittersweet. The wife is looking forward to having me home every night, but we are leaving a huge support group back in Vegas - My parents, her parents, and her sister all live there. Thanks Phil. I hope I'm able to get out and hunt often. From what I hear it's lots of deer, but not much trophy potential. That's fine by me though. I should get some good opportunities with my bow which will be a blast. I'll keep everyone here posted.

Hahaha, thanks bonecollector. Friggin Snookie. Thanks TJ, I look forward to posting them. It's snowed every day I've been here so far. Nothing stuck though.

Arizona Commissioners Elk Tag Sells for $385,000
Coues Sniper replied to rthrbhntng's topic in Elk Hunting
Sweet mercy that's a big price tag. -
Negative. You have to be a hunter to give us a bad name. That sorry excuse for a human doesn't qualify.

Help wanted! Opinions of this buck
Coues Sniper replied to shylopolito's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Not sure what you need help with. Gorgeous deer. I agree smaller deer has similar genetics. -
Try to borrow a pistol grip and use it for a day or two as it's all preference as stated above. I MUCH prefer a pan head. One reason for me is I seem to "wander" more with the grip head - as in I have a harder time following a grid pattern and feel I miss spots.

Wife's first hunt, first animal and my daughter's 2nd Javelina
Coues Sniper replied to gotcoues's topic in Javelina
Great job Colleen and Ashley! That first big game animal is something to be proud of and you earned it. -
94 MOA scope will give you approximately 47 minutes up and 47 minutes down. A 20 minute base would then give you 67 minutes up and should get you to your 1 mile goal, barely. If you want more fudge room, a 40 minute rail will obviously give it to you.

Based on the small pedicle, I'd tend to agree with slim. Although the buck I killed this season has small pedicles and he was 6 years +. Cool shed Jim.

150 Non-typical Coues from Mexico
Coues Sniper replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Mexico
His left could possibly be the biggest single side ever. Amanda, could you find out what that side scored? Just for giggles? Ridiculous deer. -
Stud buck. Love that left side with the drop, palmation, and blow hole. Really really good deer, congrats.
-
At that weight, it has to have a Ti action as well. (?) Hard to believe otherwise.
-
Just found this. Way nice Jay.
