30A October-Anybody else?
beerhugger replied to Hatchet Jack's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
My friend and I missed the initial draw and were unsuccessful in leftovers. Kicking around the idea of this hunt. I got a tag a couple years ago and didn't go. His idea was to take his crappy old explorer as far in as we can get (legally) and then hike it in. Last time I had thought about checking out the south end of the Dos Cabezas. -
I'm in the wrong business. I should buy some land and fence in some "wild" pigs. I just don't think I could justify the cost. I know there's the "thrill of the hunt". But for $600, I could get a whole pig from a local farmer butchered and ready to freeze.

There's a lot of cabins up there. Most people who own them rent them out most of the year. Just find one that fits your price range and size. Here's a site that may help http://greercabinconnection.com/ Good luck on your hunt!

I'm 34, can hear all the way up to around 20,000Hz.

My mother-in-law visited them and it was crazy expensive. She ended up having the same procedure done by a "regular" back surgeon in Tucson for a fraction of the cost. Do as I said above, get an MRI and see what's going on, it's only going to get worse. I hope you find relief one day

I had a back problem for over a year. My L5 was bulging causing severe sciatica. I saw a pain specialist and had 10 epidural injections over the course of about a year. I was beginning to wonder if they were going to work, but the last 3 seemed to knock it out. I've been pain free ever since. Do yourself a favor and get an MRI and see a good pain specialist (if you haven't done so already).

A Hunter's Guide to Dusky Grouse

Yep, same bird -
With the recent hacks many companies have been experiencing, this may impact a lot of us who use the online draw system. My bank sent me out a new debit card (the account I used for my javelina app). Unfortunately, I missed last night's deadline to update my payment info. I haven't activated my new card yet, so my old card should be active for another week, or so. My question is, when does the spring hunt draw usually occur? I need to know if I need to contact G&F and see if they'll update my card info or if my bank will extend the deadline to active my new card. I'd hate to lose out on a tag because of this constant card hacking nightmare going on.

On a whim I went to the site to update my card info and it allowed me to do so. Hopefully I'm all set!

Nice job, but makes me kind of sad. I too have a leftover 30A tag and was not able to go this past weekend as planned. Maybe next year

AI at Lowes - is it the beginning of the end???

No, these stores employ mind readers. When you don't need help every employee in the store asks if you need anything. When you do need help, they're nowhere to be found! -
Planning on using my Marlin 336C for my first ever deer hunt this weekend. I did have the opportunity to borrow a friend's .30-06, but decided to use my .30-30. It belonged to my father, so there's some nostalgia with using that rife. He purchased the rifle in the 60s and was never able to bag a deer and (I assume) he lost interest in hunting after Vietnam.

Hate to beat a dead horse but anyone else having trouble loading draw page
beerhugger replied to BigMoqui's topic in The Campfire
I was having issues too. Everything was fine until around 5:30. Then it started timing out and kicking me out. I managed to get a session going at a few minutes till 7 and I was able to complete my app. Barely made it! -
Headed up there shortly. Hoping to take one quickly so we go look for some grouse!
