That is just outstanding Jim! I know how hard you have worked to get your Mexico hunts dialed in and it looks this year your hard work is paying off! I would like to thank your wife for putting up with you! Always enjoy hearing your stories and your pics of course! I like it even more when I'm in the pics! Let's go hunting!!!

Anyone who has ever hunted with me has heard this but I'll share it with the rest of you. Rule #1 in hunting: THERE ARE NO RULES IN HUNTING! Rule #2 in hunting: THEY ARE WHERE YOU FIND THEM! There are a few more but I'll stop there. I've seen coues in the heart of muley country all the way up to above the rim! They expand their range every year!

You guys deserve all the success you have earned! There is no better feeling than when hard work pays off! I have found if I work really hard I come home successful no matter if I bring back bone or not. I still prefer to bring home bone however! Congrats to all of you and Colten, I love your bull!!! -
Way to go Casey!

I love it Amanda! I had to modify my sight as well. I cut the pin from a single pin sight in half to get the right height and super glued it into my sight widow. Zip tie holds the fiber optic out of the way. Looks funny but works great! -
Just got a 3d antelope delta from dicks online. About the same size as a coues and can use as an antelope decoy if your not going far from the truck. My antelope hunt is almost here!

Hey Gino your right I can do it but in the time it takes my slow knife skills I can get it cool and be on my way!

That problem has been solved Monty! I know you'll always be there to remind me about it though.

Great tips and beautiful mounts! How about elaborating just a bit and share with us your method for keeping a head skinned to the top of the neck cool but dry. I can keep 'em dry cuz I don't put 'em in the cooler for fear of them getting wet. I put 'em skin to skin and roll the hide up and just try to get to the taxi asap but that can be 24 hours on some hunts! I've never had any issues and always been told better warm and dry than cold and wet. I'm nervous about my upcoming goat tag though. I heard they slip easy?

Are there any brands that are better than others. I saw one that Eastmans was promoting I think it was called a "calls 'em all" and made 3 different sounds. The video showed a guy making a humming sound with it and he used it to calm a wary buck down. Seemed like it worked well but you know they always do in the video's.

Will miss the old place but can't wait to try the new one! Will be up there this fall.

I just wanted to say that I just purchased a zebu from you guys and I think the site is great! I did a google search for zebu and your site was the first one that popped up and was the cheapest! I can't wait to try it on my antelope hunt. Thankyou for good service! Rare anymore. Jason -
Does anyone know if there are any good camp sites on the backside of upper lake mary that are big enough to fit 4 camp trailors? I am planning a camping trip with a few friends and their families. I have a very large toyhauler and the other families also will be bringing theirs but none of us have ever been on the backside of the lake. Which direction would be easier to come in from and how are the roads? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Jason

Thanks Doug, many years ago I seem to remember seeing a camp across the lake as I drove down the highway but have never ventured over there. My map program shows the spur you mentioned by you never know if there open or not.

Hey Jim, what about that friend of yours that had the archery tag up there last year and ended up eating the tag because he was so picky? What an arrogant prick! Oh wait a minute, that was me! You all can think what you want but I hunt to impress no one but myself and my goal for every hunt is to hunt as hard as I can for what I feel would be a trophy on that particular hunt. It is the stories and memories made along the way that cherish the most. I've eatin several tags over the years but for the life of me can't remember a single unsuccessful hunt. This is my opinion on what hunting means to me. If this opinion makes me wrong then I don't want to be right. I hope that whatever hunting means to each of you, you always be true to that and don't worry what antbody else thinks. BE HONEST, BE ETHICAL, AND BE HUMBLE!

Legends never die, they just move! We are all said to see you go Mike, you will be missed! I met Mike at his house when I bought a blind from him a few years back. He told me not to come without some pictures and stories to share. We shared some of our favorite memories and pictures and I learned what a great guy Mike was. There has never been anyone more passionate about hunting than him. He showed me how he made his own trail cameras and shared all his photos on his computer. The time and dedication he put into hunting was more than impressive. I could tell from this one meeting he was a good honest person. May the Udall family find peace and I wish the best for your kids Mike! Guys like you Mike are the definition of my signature!

Good info Doug! So the down side of putting the same hunt number down first and second would be that you eliminate a choice in the 1-2 draw? Is that correct?

What's in my pack? Hopefully a giant coues buck!!!

Glenn is still alive! He said he used to eat crickets in the Army and they just tasted like grass but grasshoppers despite there name taste nothing like grass. He was a blast to hunt with, we had a lot of laughs and not all of them were directed at Glenn just most of them!
