Let's give the kids their own special hunt and be mad when the kids all don't all get tags. What does that sound like take a joke much. Not much different than "sitting on 12 bp's why can't I get drawn wawa". Whatever gets the next generation out of the Xbox and into the woods. Taking your kid hunting while a train of drunk truck drivers go in circles on a general hunt is no way to go.

I prefer a quality hunt with my son as oppose to a run through the jungle with all the people on a general hunt.

Sub moa and the ruger american predator
Explorer replied to CatfishKev's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Howa/vanguard is another sub moa rifle to be had for a good price. Have not heard anything bad about the american, but every one I looked at had a warped stock. Touching the barrel on one side or the other. Purchased a savage axis for my son, not to impressed but it shoots good for a 12 year old to hit a target at 200 yards. Then again, I was raised on surplus mausers with piles of surplus ammo and open sights. Those were the days. -
Look for the nastiest country you don't want to go into.. and go.

Great shot of sycamore. Lost my dad this year. Would also give anything for one last hunt with him. Good luck

Great pictures. Dont have a bull on the wall myself. But I get my cow tags and laugh at the one hit wonders who never wear out a pair of boots.even struck out three years in a row on drawing a late archery bull tag.

A couple years back a citizen volunteer for the Sheriffs office got shot up by some guys in Ashfork. They opened up on him with a 50 caliber Barrett and a 308 ar. Took two rounds. Was lucky to survive. He followed the guys home even though the real sherrif guys had told everyone to avoid said individuals due to known danger of conflict.

I often wondered what I would do if a drone flew over me while hunting..

How do you tell if a barrel has been shot out?
Explorer replied to Rock30golf's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Correction, one peice rails need to be bedded sometimes. -

One piece mounts sometimes need to be bedded to the action, also if using Remington rings they need to be set true. Never had the issue but my machinist friend used a piece turned on a lathe to line up the rings before mounting the scope to eliminate twist on the scope. Had a Winchester model 70 that I could never get to shoot good. eventually gave up on it. -
I have the elberstock mainframe. Fits like a day pack and hauls heavy loads great. Best frame pack imo.
