Watched a whole herd of trophy antelope in Prescott valley get killed / removed just to build houses. Grandville in 19a.

Honestly something has to change. Quota's on the early season and draw on the late hunt as I have said before. It's bs when you can't even chase big bucks when the quota turns it into a blitzcreig hunt. Meat hunters get their early hunt to shoot dinks and guys who want to hunt trophy bucks get draw tags that don't expire based on numbers.

Die and let my kids sell the real estate and water rights. As usual.

How about 20 years ago when the ranchers wanted all the elk gone in the multi unit areas of 17, 18 and 19. " Get these elk out of our ranches they are ruining cattle grazing" fast forward a few years and maybe one ranch still gives you access to hunt these " invading creatures". Guides moved in and now you gotta pay? I say break down the units. Only issue 15 tags in 18b to give a big middle finger to the Bacca. And let the elk herd grow into a stable ,huntable population for us to enjoy.

Not trying to offend anyone but as a Gen x who grew up in small town AZ, faith was what mattered. Not right or wrong.

OrO is charging 500 a day for antlerless tags. Not bad if you can scout for free and get it done. It's almost a guaranteed tag. Growing up my whole life around big ranchers has shown me that the good ole boy system is hard to fight especially when the all follow the same prophet.

So how many times in your life have you ran into a warden in az? Me personally it has been 4 times in 45 years. Once was a hostile confrontation with 2 broke back mountain wardens on the verde river who unsuccessfully tried to disarm us. Second was a warden we almost had to force to stop. Third was the second broke back mountain warden from the first encounter who was real uncomfortable when he recognized me. And then last year when a hippy camped on a water hole I was hunting. So quota's are being inforced by who? There is not enough wardens to enforce anything.

Oryx is not able to inter breed in Az. Maybe the ranchers are looking to expand with money from the raffle tag money they got to cut down junipers.

A bull that big would have a few more eyes on it than the hunter who killed it. Has to be more hunters that could have collected finders fees like the Jimmy John bull or a competing hunter with info would know the back story, time will tell. Still a beautiful bull. Spider bull getting killed by average guy just walking behind White horse is still the best story.
