7mm or 300 win are good choices. If you want to buy a heavy bullet lets say 200 or 215 grain your better off in a 300 win mag. If your going to get a 7mm rem make sure you reload. Lots of factory rounds really don't out perform the .270. If you reload there are 4-5 powders that can get you maybe around 150-200 fps faster than a .270. With factory a lot of them are shooting 2800-3000 fps kind of odd with that size do brass and powder capacity. If you reload you can make them far more superior than factory around then they are worth it. For myself I bought a 300 win Mag and I'm developing and elk load as well in the 200-210 grain. Serria, Berger and nosler Accurbonds can push those rounds out about 2800-2900 fps. If you like 300 weathybe they shoot great, but always cost you an arm and a leg. Realistically you are only getting about 50-100 fps faster with a 300'wethy than a 300 win mag. Make more since with the win mag. Just my 2 cents

My belief is that Nosler is just promoting and trying to up their sales. ( like any business would naturally do). But if they promote it enough and performs enough it can catch on. It's easier to say 28 Nosler, than say an uncommon wild cat 7mm ultra Mag. His reminds me of when Remington developed the 6mm remington. It actually performs better than the Winchester 243, (by about 150 fps faster) so why not is remington making more 6mm? At that time Winchester did a better time in advertising it lot more than remington and it stuck. Remington eventually pulled it off the market and the trusty ol .243 is still in the game. It's a great round but if you look at competitions you can see there are a lot more 6mm winning those competitions then .243

I have a yamaha rhino with a back bench and a roll cage that fits over it. I keep hearing people saying that it is illegal or they're going to make it illegal to have the back bench. But yeah I have had nobody ever show or truly explain if it really has passed or's just hearsay and talk. Does anyone know for a fact hat if it is legal without saying they heard it from a friends friend but really know the truth and where to find this law?? Thanks guys

I shot my buck this year when he was with 2 other bucks. The other 2 ran up and over the hill. That even we went looking for them but found a bigger one but my brother couldn't get the shot off in time. We went looking for him the next morning but he double back and my other hunting buddy and his dad chased him around. We decided to stay in same canyon and spooked those first 2 bucks that ran off the first morning. We lost them. They only ran up and over 100 yards from where I shot his buddy at. ( grant it they were young bucks ) That evening we went back to where we saw the big buck at but I glassed up a little 3x3 and my hunting buddy shot off 3 rounds. It was getting dark and we weren't sure he hit it. We went up there and it ran off. But it didn't go up and over. So we went there the next morning to see if it was still there. Yep still there and he finally landed a shot at 260 yards. So to answer your question Yessss go back they will stay in the general area.

My brother has a GSH but he doesn't want to take it out in the desert. Are you hunting in the cactus and prickly pear, or you more grass lands and the lack of cactus ????

Stats, stats, stats, should of could of would of! Everyone has valid points but no one cares about these when these 2 teams come together for this rivalry. They only care about crushing the other team. It's the one team you don't lose to. That's the only goal in mind. I was there and all that matters for that day is we crushed U of A!!!!

I got to my unit Thursday the day before the hunt to do some scouting. We found a little spike in a wash. It try's to get up and then runs right side in circles, around and around and around until it falls. It can't go anywhere and can't turn left only right. We got up to 3 feet of the guy and wants to run away but just runs in a tight circle. We had video but it won't let me load it from my phone and won't let me send it to my email. Any ideas what is causing this problem for this deer??????
